After the last episode, the ONLY thing I was looking forward to was seeing the look on everyone's face when Peter strolled into the formal with Mary Jane on his arm. Seriously, everything that happened after that was just icing on the cake.

Man I came to this discussion late, but anyway;

MJ was great! She came off as a really compelling and likeable character, impressively with her first real decent screentime in only one episode! Voice acting was great, the fact that her character showed intelligence and wit (borrowing the boyfriend from the blonde cheerleader after Peter was insulted by them - good stuff), plus the fact that she was understandable when Pete had to leave for "work".

I was expecting another typical "disappointing friends" situation when this happened, and found myself equally surprised and pleased as Peter that she was so understandable. I thought that part was particularly good writing; definitely made me as a viewer become drawn to MJ. Not only that, she saved a last dance for Peter at the very end when everyone else had left. Excellent, great ending.


Oh, and side question; are we definitively sure Harry was the Green Goblin? We never really saw him change into costume, only drink the serum. It felt like there could be a curveball being thrown in there to make us think it was Harry the whole time, until it would be revealed to be Norman in a future episode. I 'dunno, I was just a little suspicious it was actually Harry.

it has to be norman but u never know i hope they keep norman the first gg and then in a future season have harry be the 2nd. Besides making us think he was the goblin in the episode they were giving a nod to the comics harry who had drug adiction problem.

Very true, and speaking of the drug addiction, it's so cool how they make a nod to it without actually using the pills.

By the way, Steve Blum did a great job as the Green Goblin. He totally nailed it.

This episode is amazing. The Green Goblin is really well done, and exciting battle too. Love the Peter-MJ interactions with the gang. Poor Harry. Wonder what will happen to him in the future....

And wow...new episode next week!!!
