loved the episode!! my only complaint is why didn't Spidey try tackling Tombstone since he was right there and Tombstone kicked his ass earlier on...

Great episode!

Man, the gang's reaction when Peter walked into the formal with MJ on his arm was priceless! :woot: Did you guys note Harry's flash of anger, almost as if he felt that Peter once again stole his limelight...?

So cool seeing John Jameson. I've been a Man-Wolf fan since, well, his very first appearance, and im hoping we get a special Halloween episode with him and possibley Morbius as well...kind of a tribute to GSSH #1;

I wonder if John craving "a rare steak" at the charity event was a nod in that direction? Fingers crossed.

Anyway, back to the villain at hand: Frigging perfect! The menacing tone and innuendos were just spot on. His confrontation with Tombstone was priceless! LOVED the "Goblin Sparks" in his gloves, which were sorely missing from the movie.

The fight scenes were once again intense and fast paced, basicaslly taking place over half the city! Spidey being impressed by some of Goblin's moves was a nice touch.

That bomb Goblin planted was awesome. Love how it lit up the sky with a pumpkin face and ghoulish scream...

Best of all; we have another mystery on who, exactly, the Green Goblin really is....just like in the original storyline. (sure, it's more than likely one of the Osborns, but still lots of fun to speculate)...

Once again, 10/10 :bomb: :bomb: :bomb:

Awesome review! I also would love to see something like GSSH Issue #1 in this show. That issue was jsut full of greatness.

There would be no point when the only threat at the moment was the Goblin. Even if he did at worse Lincoln would just kick his ass again, and at best he'd just sic the police on him again. Besides, Peter had no time for personal grudges on account of a certain redhead who was waiting for him to get back. So Peter's strategy was simple....get in, take photos, stop Goblin, get back.

two happy endings in a row for pete that can't last surely :o

Well, not if the writers have anything to say about it. Considering the last arc of the season 1 is going to be a taking a spin on the darkside.

Do we know if MJ is supposed to be a regular on the show now? I love Gwen, but Spider-Man is nothing without his Mary Jane.

And Green Goblin is Norman Osborn, definitely. Harry doesn't know anything about the Big Man or anything like that.

How do we know that? It's quite possible Harry has been eaves-dropping on his father's meetings and phone conversations....

Exactly, besides, Spidey had to fight the Green goblin first.

Plus, what valid reason did he have for attacking Tombstone? Their rivalry aside, Lincoln was merely hosting a social event when the Goblin showed up. Had Spidey attacked him, I'm sure it wouldn't have given the guests, the general public or the police for that matter a very good impression of him.

Agreed, and Very well said.

I must say I really loved this episode.

Green Goblin was absolutely fantastic. The overall episode was well written although, at times it seemed to move too fast. I love how they have a mystery going on about the ID of Gobby, but it would be too obvious if Harry does turns out to be GG, however given the size of the Goblin it doesn't seem like Harry at all. For now, Harry doesn't looks the kind of guy who could pull off all that just by taking the Goblin formula, GG was smart and Harry, well he doesn't seem too bright to be Gobby. I love how Spidey was in awe when Goblin did that maneuver over the rooftop of the building.

Overall, things are working out pretty good. John Jameson was finally introduced and the talk about next week's launch to space probably hints at the arrival of the symbiote and eventual Black Spidey.

Best Episode of All: 10/10:up:

I know GG won't be Harry but I just want to know what the effects of taking that serum be ? Will we get GG2 when we have GG1 still?

That would be freaking awesome! Father against son!

My problem with MJ is that she is just too cool for school. And while I recognize him as our protagonist, I can't help wondering what she sees in Parker.

In the comics, she knew he was really Spider-Man the night Uncle Ben died. That might be the case here as well...

So minor nitpick. Spidey-runs out of web fluid for both shooters, so he reloads one arm. We then see him swinging using both web shooters. He then reloads the second web shooter.

So is GG appearing in next week's ep? Is he behind the creation of Doc Ock?

Hmm... I don't know if anyone's noticed this yet, but I rewatched the bit when Goblin does that backflip over the building and it looks exactly the same as Peter flipping over the speeding car right before it totals his moped in Spider-Man 2. The Goblin hitting Spidey sideways with the glider twice to send him crashing into a wall is also similar to the first New Goblin fight in Spider-Man 3.

I just love these little visual homages.

he is likely the cause of ock's transformation we will see saturday.

Pjboy posted the synopsys:

Peter Parker and Spider-Man learn that actions have consequences when nebbishy Dr. Otto Octavius becomes the megalomaniacal Doctor Octopus. The cause: Green Goblin! The effect: mayhem!

Agreed, these homages happen when you elast expect it and that's just completely awesome.
