Way too drastically different interpretations from 2 completely different generations to make a valid comparison. It's like comparing Heath Ledger to Jack Nicholson just cause it's the same character on the surface. So I can't vote.

I hate it when people say that because they say that for EVERYTHING. Who cares just vote :)!

Sorry that's the way I am if it's 2 actors playing the same version of one character (Ie: Reeve & Routh or Keaton & Kilmer) that's a different story but not 2 interpretations that were approached differently. Who knows what Romero could've done with a darker Joker or Jack with a campier one that's why.

I never rated Cesar's Joker very highly. He was entertaining to watch, but I never really saw him as The Joker. I know he was based off the campy 40's/50's/60's Joker. So, it was a valid portrayl. But it just never really felt like Joker much to me.

Jack Nicholson was fantastic. I adored every second of him. So, he gets my vote.

I personally like both Ceaser, and Jack's portrayals as the Clown Prince of Crime. Though I have to admit that Jack's Joker left much more of an impression on me during the summer of 1989 and beyond, so Nicholson it is.

I liked Romero's Joker but Jack IS the Joker.

Joker: "Jack? Jack is dead, my friend."
[steps into the light]
Joker: "You can call me... Joker."
[Grissom gapes]
Joker: "And as you can see, I'm a lot happier."

I vote Ceaser. No love for the 'stache? MOUSTACHE JOKER FTW.

You can't compare the two. they're completley different portrayls imo. I love them both but read my sig.

Jack without a shadow of a doubt

'Ahhh, Gotham City. Always brings a smile to my face' :joker:

You cant compare them. Ceaser was more accurate to the comics at the time than Jack was. But Jack was a better, darker version of the character. It's really asking "which version of this character do you preffer?" not "which actor was better?"

I cant compare the characters, like i wont be able to compare Ledgers to Nicholsons, they are just different portrayals of a legendary character, but Jack is better than romero simply because Romero's Joker wasnt the crime prince of crime that i know and love( At least Nicholson and Ledger dont have moustaches )

Romero had a better laugh and his plot's were perfect. '' Now I'll turn the water of Gotham City into a red goo!" :)

Cesar Romero. He is exactly right physically, he sounds right, his laugh is wonderful. He is the Joker stepped right off the page.

But wait - he's not 'dark', therefore he sucks. :csad:

The funny bit is how many fans are starting to say the exact same thing about Jack (when contrasted to Ledger.) :liz:

Jack Nicholson of course. That's not to say Romero was bad. He was fun to watch, but I prefer the Joker I grew up with.

I'm going with Jack Nicholson's Joker.

His version was more sinister, and he looked more like the Joker than Cesar did.

Jack Nicholson, by many miles. It seems unfair to compare them.Romero was great for the tv show though.
