After hearing most of them from over the years, from Cesar to Heath, is there a voice in your head that you hear when you read Joker dialogue from here on out?

It's still Mark Hamill!

In spite of Heath brininng a definitive performance... and what I know will be my favorite... it's too unlike the comics to make the connection.

Mark's Joker has the perfect voice for both the animation and the comics!

Romero. He is physically and verbally perfect. Now I'm not saying he is the best actor ever to play the Joker (we all know who that is now), but he is the most like the traditional comic version bought to life.

Correct :hehe:

Almost all actors from the 66 series are SPOT-ON :hehe:

Oftentimes Hamill, but depending on the look of the character, it's just a made-up voice. Like Arkham Asylum's Joker, I can't hear Hamill at all.

And who in the bloody world would even slightly hear Kevin Michael Richardson's voice!?

Dude was nominated for an Animation award for The Batman, so it must have some merit.

hamill because of watching so many of the cartoons earlier in life

I was looking at some of my old Batman comics and I instantly thought of Ledger. But Hamill still comes to my mind.

Hamill all the way. Hell, I hear all TAS's voices when I read the comics, especially in Ras, Joker, and Gordon.

Speaking of voices, when I reread Long Halloween to prepare for TDK, I realized exactly who my voice for Falcone and the voice for Maroni was. Brad Garret was Maroni and a serious Mel Brooks was Falcone. Yeah, odd choice for the most powerful crime lord eh?

though he is everyone's least favorite Joker (myself included) i do sometimes hear his voice in the rare occurances when Joker stops smiling and gets into his low serious voice.

I used a voice of my own imagination up to this point in time, but now... I think I've got to say that Heath Ledger's Joker has changed that. Much in the way I feel that new comic book artists will shape the Joker's visual image towards a Heath-Like Joker.

Sometimes I just make up stuff too. Like I used to use mannerisms of Nosferatu with a mix in of Charles Manson

To be honest I stopped reading new comics a few years ago because after reading what DC does with Batman every month I just gave up after about 30 years. I still have my favorite arc's and GN's so it will be refreshing to reread them with a Ledger slant.

Actually I hear the old neighbour we had when I was a kid. His voice is THE Joker voice to me.

It depends on the Joker. If I'm reading an early Joker story, where he was still the serial killer gangster, I hear, strangely enough, a voice that can only be compared to Riff-Raff from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

When I'm reading one of the silly Silver-Age stories from thje 50's and 60's, I hear, again, strangely enough, the Joker from the old Batman cartoons, the ones where he would appear with Scooby Doo. Anything after that tends to be Hammil.

For some reason when I read Joker out loud to friends I give him a crazy growly British accent. Hell, as long as I can make my high pitched girlie voice sound like a man in any way I feel accomplished. You should hear my Batman voice :woot:

When I read to myself his voice shows up as either Hamill, Ledger, Romero, or an ex that used to read to me. It depends on how he's drawn, but it's usually Hamill since that's how I read them when I was little.

At first Jack but after the first dark knight trailer it was Heath
Heath got everything Jack's voice, Hamill's laugh and the eyes and a realitic Joker look

i can't get heath's voice out of my head when i read the joker

I never hear Heath, loved him but it doesn't fit the more daper look of the comic book Joker. However with that said, I have a feeling if I read Arkham again I'd probably hear his voice as the look and personality is more in line with Heath's Joker.

I never hear Jack either. When reading comics from the 60s, I always hear Romero. And I simply love Romero, especially when he's talking fast so his voice is fun.

With the exception of Arkham and DKR(which I never even read), I always hear Hamill.

I absolutly love Mark Hamill. His voice is pure and simply, amazing!

He pretty much took the essence of the joker and put it in his voice, and the LAUGH!!

I love him.

Mark Hamil.

Ledger's voice as Joker is overrated.

How is Hamil not overrated? lol.

It's even leading on the board!
