Characters created during the 90s and the 00s?

I have heard or read that characters don't age or die and then new characters can't come in and become popular. But in recent years there has been Daken, X23, and others. I was just curious how many characters were actually introduced in the 90s and in the 2000s.

Not sure exact numbers or anything, but the '00's gave us Jessica Jones, the Runaways and the Young Avengers, too.
