I've noticed a few differences and figured it might be fun to talk about.

This shot of Xavier is missing and I assume as he's looking in the mirror young Charles walks in front of him and becomes the reflection.

Also the line "I remember" seems to be replaced with "and Cerebro knows it" though it could have been used later and thats just trailer editing.

I also noticed that the performances are different. The trailer offers a more casual conversation tone (as if older Xavier was talking to anyone else) while the movie version is in whispers.

However, I really love the final version. It was like a dream and the whole tone really got to me, you could really feel the pain and hopelessness of younder Charles and Xavier taking a more nurturing tone than what we've seen before.

However, I am sucker for trailer cuts, alternate takes, and all that lol

I missed the "I remember", but the scene was fantastic.

Yeah, I really liked the cinematography, the weird angles, the surreal atmosphere. It was so beautifully thought, shot and acted.

I have to say that I missed the "you're afraid...I remember" bit, but the scene is brilliant nonetheless. :)

I also miss the "I remember" bit. But what we got in the movie was good too.

Yeah my 2nd and 3rd viewing I get an alert for the "I remember " line. Would love to see where/how it fit in the conversation.

Still one of the best scenes in this franchise history.

Still one of the best scenes in this franchise history.

It truly is.

I've mentioned before that Stewart's Xavier in this movie is the damsel in distress of sorts, depending on other people to protect him even when his survival is not any more important than any of the future X-men save Kitty and Wolverine.

I suspect a major part of the reason he was protected-at-all-costs from death (by Singer) is because he doesn't want another X-men The Last Stand play out with his character unceremoniously getting killed.

With all that said, the face-off between Past and Future Charles more than makes up for his non-action for most of the run-time of the movie.

It was a beautiful scene, one of my favourite ever. Really got to me :)
