Charlie Cox to Return as Daredevil, But With a Big (Screen) Twist — Report

Yeah I will wait until a more reputable outlet reports it.

Cox must to come back!!
Netflix' marvel series already set in MCU

No need recast, reboot,... as characters from Netflix series officially exist in MCU since 1st Dardevil season! they contents a lot of easter eggs

I don't know why they need Daredevil especially the NetfliX version in this. Imo, it should just be the Sony actors returning + Strange since he could be tied to the multiverse. But NetfliX Daredevil? Eh.

In this case, no. It's not a "Yahoo" article. It's a mirrored article from TV Line with information sources from MURPHY'S MULTIVERSE.

It's not a Yahoo! reporter with independently sourced info.
You are correct.
Didn't even see the 'TV Line' credit at the top left.

Can't wait to see him as Matt again in a few short weeks.

I really hope Feige isn't trolling here as he often does.

I am not a fan of the NetfliX Marvel era. So I would prefer if they completely start fresh with those characters. I feel like new actors in those roles, would be a lot more interesting imo.

But if they want to bring back actors from those era, I guess the casting department got fewer characters to recast.

I just hope we see those actors, the NetfliX Marvel shows aren't referenced, as I really don't want to go back in those shows and think of what happened there.

I hope we’re can get Jon Bernthal Back also he was an amazing Punisher!

I honestly think Daredevil's backstory is going to be left vague so fans can either ignore the show or not. He will just be an established hero with vague history with Bullseye, Kingpin, etc.

But as far as counting those shows, if you're keeping the actors, then just keep the shows. There isn't really a good reason to bring them back and play off that sweet nostalgia while simultaneously thumbing your nose at the very thing you see piggy backing off of.

I doubt they would be, even though I have no basis or proof of that. Chances are they'd just use the actors, like Charlie Cox is playing a Matt Murdock, but no ties to the Netflix version. I mean, who knows how much of a say Netflix would have in that? Since if there were references to the Netflix shows, would that make those shows canon as a result? Same reason that if D'Onofrio shows up in Hawkeye, I wouldn't expect any nods or references to Daredevil.

I'm pretty sure Feige just wanted Cox and D'Onofrio back because they were the best part of the Netflix Marvel series and nothing more than that.

I'd like Jon Bernthal back as Frank Castle but if they found someone else I'd be ok with it. Hell, a scruffy Henry Cavill looks like Frank in the comics but they'd want him as Captain Britain or something.

Having Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio back is just like having Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee back in lots of different Dracula movies. They were not sequels to each other but simply different adaptations using the same two classic actors.

Is that a spoof interview? Why does Amy Pascal look like she's wearing a witch's Halloween wig? She even cackles at the end either like a witch or like Dafoe's Green Goblin.

I think it could also just be because those actors are just good fits for their roles and haven't reached their full potential yet. Ryan Reynolds's Deadpool and Jamie Foxx's Electro may not have been great the first time around, but that doesn't mean the actor was necessarily the wrong choice.
And with JK Simmons as JJJ, I wouldn't know who else to cast either.

I think a Marvel Studios' Daredevil would be announced neXt year, probably for 2024 or 2025. Even though Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four, Marvel Studios' Blade, Marvel Studios' Deadpool and Marvel Studios' X-Men are still years away, I don't think they are going to keep Daredevil fans dry after his debut appearance in the Mcu. I also don't see them relegating the character for a streaming series yet again. Like I would be shocked if Daredevil isn't given another feature film.

I actually thought Amy Pascal was a guy at first, no joke! That hair does her no favors!

When asked what Kevin Feige thinks of Amy Pascal's hair, here was his reaction:

After seeing that hair, I could totally believe that she would throw a sandwich at Feige.
