Charlton Heston Dead At Age 84

:csad:

I always thought he was immortal because even though he looked old, he was young at heart and spirit.

RIP Charlton Heston

Aww man, terrible news to end the day.

Well RIP Charles, you were a great actor.

Damn, I thought he died like 10 years ago.

rest in peace mr heston

I love so many of his films. He had a great life.

Here's to one of the first and finest legends of the screen. RIP.

Yeah he was really a Legend.....R.I.P Charlton Heston.

RIP Heston we will miss you. A legend in the movies and for being the NRA president.

Another great icon of cinema is lost. My favorite film of his was "The 10 Commandments". Rest In Peace, Mr. Heston. You had a great life, you will not be forgotten.

The original Planet of the Apes was one of my favorite movies since I was a kid. He was one of the last remaining big box office stars left from that golden era of Hollywood. That generation of stars is pretty much all but gone. Only other one I can think of is Elizabeth Taylor.

He was one of the greats. IMVHO he was in the same league with the likes of John wayne, Burt Lancaster, Clark Gable, etc. An icon.

Ok, now they can pry that gun away from his dead cold hands.

The man was heartless.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to go all Michael Moore in this thread.

I just re-watched the original Planet of the Apes two nights ago for the first time in a few years. It's quite a politically and socially liberal movie.

So sad, I always thought he was a great actor. R.I.P. Heston

People, we need to find a way to get Paul Newman to live forever.

My favourite film of his is Ben Hur.....RIP Mr Heston.

A legend gone. Whether it was Ben-Hur, Ten Commandments, Soylent Green, or The Big Country, Heston was larger than life. He brought a strong classiness to movies, and his contribution will never be forgotten.

You don't deserve your screenname.

I find it funny when someone calls someone else heartless when talking about them right after they've passed. Look in the mirror sometime, pal.

If you could stop worshipping Michael Moore long enough to think for yourself and do some research, you'd see Heston has a long history of protesting for various civil rights as well as gun control and protesting AGAINST the Vietnam War.

We've still got Kirk Douglas in addition to Miss Taylor.

What I fear most is that people will remember him for his politics instead of his films. I certainly hope that's not how it turns out.

I really hate Hypocrisy so my opinion on someone doesn't change if that person dies.

And you should listen to your own advice and do some research. Then you would see how he changed his point of view in more than one thing.

Still, despite being an ******* he was a great actor who had lead roles in great films. No one can deny that. Planet of the Apes is one of my favorites movies.

Its not about being hypocritical, its about being considerate.

Yeah, no one EVER changes their point of view. :whatever:

You haven't explained exactly WHY you think he's an *******.
