Cheepest way to complete TEC and BAT run '39 - present

Has anyone tried to map out a complete run in reprints of Batman and Detective comics (in colour, so the Showcase's don't count).

I have Detective comics complete from 500 to present and Batman 400 to present.
So I personaly am only look for:
Tec 27 - 499 and Bat 1 - 399

I started out 10 years ago with the Archive editions, but they have stopped releasing those and the latest editions are too very expensive.

I have lot's of collected artists editions (The Legends etc. Breyfogle, the three Adams books, etc.)
Glad I didn't end up bying 'The Chronicles' since those have stopped as well.
Monday I'll try and post what I have myself, but I'm wondering is there anyone on these foroms who has already figured this out?

It's actually really hard to complete an entire run...much of it isn't even reprinted. And the Archive editions are really very expensive to get right now.
