Browsing through the schedule for comic-con, here are some of the things I've seen going on about batman and the Bat universe.
Thursday 7/24
3:30-4:30 Bat-Manga! Chip Kidd and the Secret History of Batman in Japan Chip Kidd (Mythology) lifts the veil on officially licensed, original Batman manga stories from 1966 Japan, not previously collected or translated in over 40 years. Narrated slide show, with Q&A to follow. Room 30AB
Friday 7/25
10:00-11:00 Batman: Brave & Bold See an exclusive first look at the latest take on the Dark Knight, which premieres this fall on Cartoon Network. Producers Sam Register (Teen Titans) and James Tucker (Justice League Unlimited) discuss the show, along with writer Michael Jelenic (The Batman), director Brandon Vietti (Superman Doomsday), voice director Andrea Romano (Superman Doomsday), and the new voice of Batman, Diedrich Bader (Surfs Up), followed by a Q&A session.
2:15-3:15 DC: Batman: No Rest for The Dark Knight Batman is the original dark hero. He lives a life pledged to helping the helpless and punishing the guilty, but this summer everything is going to change. With a blockbuster hit in theatres and a darker storyline than ever before, now's the time to celebrate the minds behind the bat! Senior editor Michael Marts, Grant Morrison (Batman), Paul Dini (Detective Comics), Dustin Nguyen (Detective Comics), Brian Azzarello (Joker), and others discuss the mythos of the Bat and what looms ahead for our hero.
