Sad story but I don't like the way that video was edited, I'd like to see the original. Whoever uploaded this to YouTube (or wherever they got it from) edited the end of the video to make it sound like he's saying that doctors say we should be discouraged to get flu shots, but I seriously doubt that's what he said.

Maybe I'm just medically and scientifically naive, but I never understood the point of a flu shot unless you were very old or very young. Even if you get the flu you're most likely gonna be sick for a couple of days and then get better.

I see it as a financial and economic efficiency thing. Better most of the money spent are on those who actually vulnerable to it, than those who can take it no big deal. That and quicker access too.
