Superman Returns Children's reactions to SR?

Oh, when I was a kid... Ultraman was cool, Knight Rider was great, A-Team... I don´t dare watching any of that these days...

LOL yeah, they meant the world to me :D now when i do catch them on reruns i cant bear to watch them :O

The cutest reaction I heard from a kid when I saw it was when Superman was talking to Jason at the end, a little boy turned to his Mom and said "Superman woke up"

In the shot where young Clark falls through the roof of the barn and then levatates, some young kid yelled "Is that Superman?" WHO THE ***** DO YOU THINK IT IS? JESUS? I wasn't that mad or anything I just can't beleive how dumb that kid was. In the part where Superman gets shot in the eye and then the bullet crumbles some older man yelled behind me "That was SO cool!" Some people can never grow up, can they? :p

My nieces went to go see it yesterday and they loved it! They thought that it was the best movie they have seen since Shrek! I was blown away because my nieces usually don't like superhero stuff. They wanted to know if we could take them again to go see it again! :supes:

I agree.
While watching SR, often, when I got bored, I tried to juxtapose it with Superman 1+2 (both of which didn't have anywhere near the exciting parts, visually) and I tried to balance my old-man perception with my little kid perception.

The answer I arrived at:

Good is good
Boring is boring

Raiders, Empire, Superman 1, Ghostbusters?.......NOT boring.
Superman Returns?........................................EMINENTLY boring.
:down
No offense I found SR more exciting than any of the original Superman films.

I took my son who is 12 and a huge Superman fan (he wore a Superman t-shirt everyday to bed for years). He liked the movie, but he wasn't wowed by it. I asked him what his fav superhero movie was so far and he said X3. I have to say, I enjoyed X3 more than SR as well.

If he liked SR it is a very good news :)
X3 is very similar to a videogame, a good videogame: I liked it too. IMO Ratner did a decent job. :)

Ratner did a bang up job when you consider that he came into the project AFTER another director already had started working on this, and also he went with the studio ready script, and he worked it to the point that the movie ended up being a real solid film... I liked it the best out of the 3 myself.

lol never thought id see on this site someone give him his props! lol :)

Yeah, I blame Fox for the problems with the movie, but Ratner did his best. His heart was in the right place.

My 8 year old nephew saw it this weekend. His review was pretty much one word...."boring." Which was surprising cause he loved JL and Superman TAS.

this is a littl off-topic but it still deals w/ superman. i was wearing my shirt w/ a faded vintage \S/ shield on it while i went to the mall. this little kid that passed me w/ his mom pointed at me and said, "WOW! ITS SUPERMAN!"

a lil' kid behind me couldn't stop yelling 'it's SUPERMAN!!!' needless to say, he loved the movie. hehe, i remember when Superman fell back down to the Earth unconcious after getting rid of NK the lil' boy said 'Superman ain't dead! he can't die!"

smart lil' kid...

When I was leaving the theater for the first time. I heard two kids talking about how much they loved the bullet to the eye scene.
