Chris Benoit Dead

I bet 10-1 that Benoit got home to find his Wife, & kid dead. Then commited suicide.

I think what they did was the right thing. They were in a bind. People knew about it, and to do nothing would be wrong because they don't know, and really still don't know for sure (though I think its pretty obvious Benoit did it) if Benoit was involved in killing his family. Like I said, William Regal took the best approach out of all the wrestlers asked to give their thoughts on Benoit. ****, Chavo said he would trust him with his kids, he may want to re think that.

He's dead now, what's to rethink?:o

Very possible scenerio.

Really, with this, who knows for sure. If there's still an investigation going on then even the authorities don't know for sure yet. Hopefully things will be found out soon and this can be laid to rest.

Totally agree. People act like an investigation into a theory equates to guilt, and that is not the case.

right now, i would say he killed his wife and son.

that's just the way it seems.

Well they wouldn't give that theory to the media unless they had something fairly concrete behind it. The last thing they want is a media circus about it.

They had one before this even started. They had to give the media something, and I am not saying the investigation has no merit or evidence, but it isn't a judgement, and the cops can still be wrong. Happens all the time, even with people who had motive, been to the scene, etc. It happens.

I am waiting to see what else comes out.

Why is that probable? You guys forgetting he still has another kid? His other son wasn't there. Why would he kill himself and leave his youngest ( I believe) son now not only without a mother and brother, but father as well? Why would he kill himself and leave his only son when thats when he needed him the most?

he has two kids from a previous marriage. I assume they were with his previous wife.

Coming home to see your wife and son had died, when you weren't there to do anything about it, could cause a sudden feeling of extreme guilt. That coupled with any form of lingering depression could be enough for someone to kill themselves without thinking about anything else.

As someone who used to watch WWE (and considered Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit to be amazing wrestlers), this news really stunned me. From reading some backstage reports, Benoit is always portrayed as a hard-working individual who isn't a prima donna, and willing to lend a hand to help fellow wrestlers. He may not be charismatic, but he is a tough sonofagun and is appreciated by fans and professions alike.

R.I.P. Benoit, you and your family will be missed.

Who knows? We have to remember that he recently lost a man who was like a brother to him(Eddie Guerrero) and rumor has it that he never recovered from that. It affected him so much that he still wrote letters to Eddie.

So take that and say he returned home to find his wife and son dead, and he just lost it and killed himself? Sure, it's a stretch and everything, but I don't see Benoit as the type of person who would kill his wife, his son, and then himself you know? I just don't see it at all.

Once again we're speculating here and it's not the first nor will it be the last time the media got its information wrong. Remember the mining incident where they said "THE MINERS ARE ALIVE!" and it turned out all of them died except one. So again, it's not fair to say the media wouldn't get information like this wrong.

Two kids, actually. A boy and a girl, if I remember

Well obviously that couldn't have happened because he called WWE to tell them he couldn't make the pay per view event. So he is able to think about his career, but not his other kid(s)? Come on.

well the vultures at Fox News, the wussies over at CNN, and the short-bus rejects at MSNBC all have this thing on their radar. let's see what happens now.

I love the amount of denial going on in this thread. I'd hate to be you guys in the morning.

*shrugs* who knows? Maybe he saw they were really sick? Like I said, it's wrong to make any kind of rash speculations. The wise thing would be to wait until something concrete is revealed.

Until then we're all left in the dark as to what happened and we'll never truly know what happened.

It's like an epidemic this year.

First it's Jesse Davis and her unborn daughter killed by her boyfriend, then it's the father who allegedly murdered his wife and 3 children, now we learn that Chris Benoit most likely killed his family and self during the weekend.

Youve got to wonder, at least, in Chris's case, if he got the idea or maybe influenced to do what he did after watching the news on Jesse Davis and that father in Illinois. I hope this is the last we're going to hear about these types of crimes because it's just too horrible to imagine a parent or a loved one deciding to kill their family out of depression, anger, or whatever.

I know this is supposed to be a memorium thread, but I honestly cant even think about Chris Benoit as a wrestler at the moment.

we don't know enough to say either way. Some just prefer not to jump to conclusions.

This is what I am talking about. Who looks at anyone who has a family and thinks to themselves "Hmmm he may just end up murdering them all." No one does. It never makes sense to kill your own child. There is no "reasoning" behind it.

I hate the fact that you're trolling and showing complete disrespect to Benoit and his family. Even if what you say is true, the least you could do is show respect and realize that he has family members who are suffering, friends who are suffering, and fans who are grieving.

If he did the unthinkable does it take away from his talent? There's no denial going on. People are just waiting for the facts and don't want to believe he would kill his wife, his son, and then himself.

If you turn out to be wrong, I am going to love to see you squirm out of it.
