1492 Pictures, a production outfit run by Chris Columbus (Harry Potter, Gremlins, The Goonies), and CJ Entertainment are at work on three new horror films.

Most notable is it appears Adam Green (Hatchet, Frozen) has been accepted into the Columbus fold. Green will be directing Killer Pizza under the 1492 and CJ partnership. The film follows a teen who takes a gig at the eponymous pizza delivery joint which is really a cover for a monster hunting organization.

Neil Gaiman's "The Graveyard Book" is also part of the deal. The adaptation focuses on an orphan raised by ghosts. Neil Jordan was once attached to direct.

And, finally, Columbus will write Carpe Demon. This adaptation of "Carpe Demon: Adventures of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom," by Julie Kenner, concerns a soccer mom turned demon hunter.

I like the monster hunting thing organization. Plus I like the director Green.

When I read the thread's title I thought of the Pizza "The Hut' character from Spaceballs. . . .

lOL.

People say they want more original, its kinda original, plus there aren't much monster hunting movies. i feel it could be a mixture of Monster Squad and Goonies, but they are grown ups.

That seems to be the case.

I enjoyed Monster Squad a while back.

It should be good. Columbus made two of my favorite childhood movies of the 80's with The Goonies and Gremlins.

This made me think of the old TMNT episode, "Attack of the Killer Pizzas"

The title is kind of misleading, but the plot is pretty damn cool sounding.

this is definately original..lol..

sounds great!

^^ Agreed. ANother film by him I have yet to see is Frozen. Too bad we have to wait until Spetember for that.

I remember seeing some of the old flick years ago on Bravo.

Oh wait, I thought this was Attack of the Killer Tomatoes remake :/
