Batman Begins Chris Cooper On His ‘Batman Begins’ Near Miss

And Cooper does look the part too.

It's just how well Oldman transformed himself.

I don't think Cooper would have done the job as well.
 
Cooper would've been a fantastic Gordon as well.

There's no real way of proving if he would've been better than Oldman though.

I think all-round, Oldman is a better actor and immerses himself more into the characters he's playing. Plus, I find him to have a very sympathetic face and demeanor, which is a softer side Gordon definitely needs to have (cf. The Long Halloween, Dark Victory)... Chris Cooper has a harder, less "nice guy" expression. He would have fit better in a story more inspired by Year One's take on the character.
