Chrome/Firefox hangs when saving pictures...

I recently switched to Chrome cause I was tired on an issue in Firefox I had where when I would save pictures/files that the browser would temporarily hang.

For a while everything was fine in Chrome, but now the issue has arisen in it as well. What's my problem?

What do you mean by hang ? Does it takes time to display the files ( sort in details mode ) already in the directory and the "Save" button ? If it is the case, I have the same issue but with Opera.
I think it comes from the number of files in the directory where you want to save the picture and your antivirus ( if you have one running ).
