The Dark Knight Comcast Dark Knight (Check First Post For Downloads)

I haven't judged the film, I've judged Nolan's approach to the material

That sir..... is ****ing hilarious, lol. Nice work.

Quick question. I am sorry if this has been brought up. In the comcast imax video where the Joker says "Hit Me" it's a different take than from trailer 2. Anyone know if this is similar to the "Good evening Ladies and Gents" line from the tv spot where they are using an alternative take for the sake of time? I just really really hope they use the "Hit Me" take from trailer 2.....holy crap it is so much more intense!!!! How he shakes his head from right to left....really frightening. thanks guys.

technically you can judge an approach...just saying...

An approach isn't fully realized until you see the film. Judging it now would be criticizing prematurely in my opinion.

...which you can't really judge until you see the film.

It's called Batman Begins...

Nolan had almost complete control last time so we're obviously not going to get a B89-BR kind of disparity

Disparity? BB had far more maturity than either Burton flicks. Sure, perhaps Burton's films were more gothic and marose, but that's not Batman. Sure, he has those qualities, but he's not a psychotic killer.

Moreover, TDK is its own film, which should be judged on its own merits.

I understand, my mistake, I assumed by approach he meant the style of the film which we can gather from what we've seen thus far, i.e. Joker being a wacko in make-up, blah blah..

but your right, we need to see the entire vision first.

(see kids, thats how you have a mature disagreement..:hoboj:)

Well Nolan's style has been apparent ever since his first film. He hasn't changed it. You can tell when you're watching a Christopher Nolan movie. He doesn't change tonality from film-to-film.

His approach to the story ... that differs with each film. Who knows, based on some reports, TDK is a much more serious, darker and all-around adult tale. We won't know until we see the finished product, however.

You're just not getting it...

What's disparity got to do with maturity? I'm merely saying that there was a large change in approach between B89 and BR, whereas TDK is clearly a direct continuation of the characters in Begins

My mistake. While B89 and BR didn't have much continuity, I don't see how having continuity makes TDK less adult, which is what I'm getting from you.

What I'm saying is Begins has a clear morality and delineation between the good guys and the bad guys, and Nolan's very likely to continue that with TDK

Does anyone have the screencaps with Dent and the coin?
