Actually, the overall production design and look of SR kinda' reminds me of some of Allen's 30s/40s period movies like 'Bullets Over Broadway' and 'Radio Days'...especially the ones shot by Carlo Dipalma. I haven't seen MatchPoint, but I've heard it's basically a remake of Crimes and Misdemeanors, which is one of my favorites.

The production design of SR is far closer to Bullets and Radio Days, sorry, I can never resist a little asinine alliteration. Match Point is great, covers a lot of the same territory as Crimes and Misdemeanors (with no comic relief subplot), you should rent it. I also really enjoyed Melinda and Melinda, a great meditation on comedy and tragedy.
