Comic Book References in Non-Comic Films

The Silver Surfer appears among other religous imagery on the wall of Max Cady's cell in Scorsese's CAPE FEAR.

I'm sure Tim Roth has a Silver Surfer poster in his apartment in 'Resorvoir dogs'.

The Frog Bros store scene in 'The Lost Boys' of course, I can't recall what comics they test the new kid on exactly, Superman is in there I'm sure.

There are comics lying about on Billy's table in 'Gremlins', 'house Of Mystery' i think, maybe 'conan'.

Back to the Future has that "Tales From Space" comic. Probably doesn't count.

In Transformers, Anthony Anderson's character mentions the claw marks on the wall are more like Wolverine and not Freddy Kruger's.

In that Will Smith movie called Pursuit of Happiness, the little boy carries around a Captain America action figure.

There was also a Will Eisner comic sitting on Billy's table in 'Gremlins', I didn't catch which one it was, watching it on tv right now, don't have the dvd.

Armageddon- Steve Bsucemi calls William Fichtner Captain America (not sure how relevant that is)

Um, Twilight :o That Bella chick theorizes at some point during the trailer that Edward has "powers" because of A) A radioactive spider or B) Kryptonite (Doesn't she knows Kryptonite takes away Supes powers? I guess she watches Smallville :o)

Not really a movie, but I've been watching Spaced and it has more comic book references than all of the movies we've mentioned combined :woot:

In Flushed Away, the claymation/CG kids film. Hugh Jackman plays the lead and in a scene he pulls a Wolverine (yellow and blue) suit out of a closet puts it back and pulls out an Elvis outfit.
