That would be Ephialtes, Lady Leonidas
He betrays Leonidas and his soldiers after he's rejected as a Spartan soldier because of his deformed body.
Xerxes offers him girls and money and power and stuff, so there you go.

I don't know about you guys but even though I haven't read the novel(although Iam planning to buy it) it seems that the movie has a combination of realism with a lot of cool quasi-fantasy based elements.I mean they have a huge fat/blob kinda mutant with swords as arms remember the knives that the t-1000 created in T2? well those are small compared to this. And the look of the badguys,if they can be called that way, is sort of horror movie style looking, some of them have big fangs and have mutations and deformities,in one shot of the trailer I think its the leader of the persian army? he has this tatoos on his face and has all kinds of piercing he looks like if he was taken straight from the lord of the rings haradrim army but on steroids which works great for me because I didn't know anything about the graphic novel before attending the panel,so I thought Oh another troy type of film. But when I saw the teaser trailer I was blown away, its like lord of the rings meets gladiator and conan, Iam not kidding the trailer looks awesome, and most of the action shots were in slow motion but in a good way.

Know I want to know everything about the story.

I knew it! They are making up BS about the Persians to make them look like bad guys and sell the movie. You should read the true history of the bttles before you see this movie. Why is it hat the Europeans are the good guys? Movies like Alexander, Troy and 300. Xerces basically liberated libertaed the greeks from trechery. What does the story of the movy say about the storyline?

Of course the Persians are going to be seen as the villians, this is a greek tale as told through the eyes of Greeks. The Persians invaded them. Whether or not Xerxes liberated the greeks and others from treachery is moot, there has to be a villian, and he was who they were fighting.

There are two ways this story can be told. The more realistic and accurate way, and the inspirational folklore way which is the route they are going. They're not trying to be as historically accurate as possible, they are trying to make a film loosely based off of a real battle that has become legend and they are trying to make it as bloody and fun as possible.

I have read the true history of what happened, this is a comic book adaptation

I know how you are feeling Asteroid Man, but I have to agree kytrigger... this is a story told from the storyteller's point of view... the Spartan's point of view. And of course the Persians are going to be the "bad guys".

However, I don't think that Frank Miller means to dimish Xerxes's contribution to history and the positive contributions that the Persian culture has brought to the world.

I know with today's world politics... it is easy to take only the negative view of the Persians, but hopefully there will enough intelligent people who will do their history homework and negate any fall-out from those who don't.

These posters are done in the "mood" of the film. I doubt if you will get anything much different.

Here is another one... of King Leonidas.

That one is pretty cool. Thanks for posting it.

Not crazy about this one, or the one of the queen. The poses just kind of seem awkward to me. Why is Leonidas screaming? I guess he's fighting something or maybe the rain is really stinging him, hard to tell.

I really want a few of these! I'm WAY hyped for the film and really really want some of these awesome posters...!!

He is d*mn Spartan in the middle of battle!

These guys were military freaks (obsessed).

This film will be awkward for some. The posters reflect the film. Have you seen the book?

The graphic novel is pretty interesting, if I say so myself...

Better versions are up at the official site.

Zack said that there should be an official teaser trailer available in the next few months. But untilt then...

There is a one minute portion of the comic con trailer on "you tube" if you can access it.

If the link does not work, go to www.youtube.com and type in "300 - Gerard Butler". It gives you a list of items from the comic con. Click on "300 comicon trailer".

Enjoy...

That's not Ephilates. In the new leaked trailer, toward the end you see a glimpse of Ephialtes, and he looks exactly as he does in the graphic novel. The dude picture seems to be one of the warriors in the Persian army.

Yeah, I know!
I clearly remember seeing the real Ephialtes in the 2nd. trailer and thinking "Oh oh, I made a mistake" :(
But I was too lazy too look for the thread :o
