Comic storage question

Hi fellas

Just want a little advice on an upcoming storage issue I may have.

My wife is expecting our first child soon and its dawned on me that my office/den/comic room will soon have to become baby's room. Its easy enough to move the office stuff, but the comics stuff? oh boy

It looks like I may have to move the comics into the loft, so my question is will this damage them at all?

While I only have a few valuable -ish issues, I do have over 4,500 comics in comic boxes with about half of them in bags.

The only thing that should concern you is the half that isn't in bags. If they're from any time before the early 90s, before comics paper quality had improved, then browning of pages should be a concern. It also depends on moisture and dust.
