I just came back from Blockbuster and they're selling the complete first season of Wolverine and the X-Men. The price is $456 pesos (about $40 dollars). :woot::woot: though i'm sure that you can find it cheaper somewhere else.
I'll try to find some info on it!

UPDATE: Ok, I went online and couldn't find anything on it but I remember seeing a website on the poster from the DVD so I'll try to go back and look for it.

I don't remember seeing any special features but what I remember is:
-English and Spanish audio.
-Spanish subtitles
-Full Screen

They also have the complete series divided in five volumes for rent...each one has about 5 episodes.

Also on the poster it says that this is Jetix's most popular series. (Jetix is the network where they show WATXM in Mexico and Latin America).

hmmm...Very interesting news since it hasn't been anounced before.
Can you take pics when you see it next?
I REALLY want that set!
Could you possibly buy it for me if I send you money?

Yeah, I was also very surprised to see it there. I would've bought it but I don't have money right now :csad: I wanna go to another store and see if it's cheaper... usually Blockbuster sells more expensive dvds and videogames.
I'll try to get some pics next time I see it and yeah, if you send me the money I can buy it for you though I've never done that before so I don't really know how it works... I suppose it's not that hard.

You're in Mexico right? maybe other stores in your area WILL have it for cheaper. I dont know...In the US the first dvd in the series just came out and there is no announcement of a box set.

Do you have a paypal account? If not, I could always send a international money order. Then you just ship the DVD to my address.

I'm gonna have to get my hands on that Austrailian dvd set. I'm afraid I can't wait for however long they choose to wait to release the 1st season in the states (which is for sure a long ways off yet as we've only got the first 8 episodes shown on tv) Not to happy about having to buy an austrailian dvd player to watch em' on but it'll be worth it, I can't remember the last time I've actually sat and enjoyed a cartoon show this much.

cant you just buy one from Mexico and play it in a US DVD player? Aren't the US and Mexico the same region code?

vanillacyke, Wait no longer, Tuesday 4/28, the first 33 episodes of X-Men The Animated Series is available. Luckilly at Forbidden Planet in NYC, they already had it for sale, and I watched Night Of The Sentinals yesterday. Hopefully, Disney will finish putting the episodes on dvd this time. DVD #2 has The Phoenix Saga.

Ummy holy crap.

What about extras? Does it least have the pilot DVD release extras?

C'mon Lionsgate, give us some news.

However, I think the Spanish and UK DVD rights are with different companies.

Yea but I find it hard to watch something I enjoy in a crummy internet rip. It get's to pixally when the action speeds up or lot's of movement is abound. I need near-perfect to perfect picture for this show.

ok i know i'm out of the loop...but what the hell happened to this show airing in the U.S.? They hyped it up for months...and only aired up to Time Bomb i think...or episode 9...and now its been on hiatus...nt is just airing the same cycle of eps over and over again...i realize this is airing in canada, uk etc...but why was the decision made to halt the full season airing just when it was getting started in the states? Is this to tie in to the movie...sorry...i've been away from the boards for a while and just wanted some answers dang it :D

I went back to Blockuster, there are absolutely NO extras in the DVD. Here's the webpage though it has no info on the dvd, just an image.

Now if only someone would upload the english versions so we can see the unedited parts of the season!

They haven't all aired yet. I think nicktoons is only up to episode 8 or 9 now. And in the US only the first DVD volume has been released with the first three or four eps.

True, but they've apparently been released on DVD in Meixco with English audio. Every ep has also aired in the UK, but they were edited... What I wanna know is, have all the eps aired in Canada yet? I just saw that next week's ep is the 1st episode again. If Canada has aired them all, I wish someone would upload it somewhere so we could all see that conversation between Emma and Wolverine. Anyone???

Is the Austrailian DVD release of the show edited or unedited? Does anyone know which countries are getting the edited versions of this show?

I wish they would release the complete 1st season in the US sometime instead of making us suffer through these individual releases.

they will when the season is done. it's just going to take a while cause they've only aired 9 episodes in the US.

I've spoken with the guys who do the publicity for the Lionsgate releases. As of now, there is no season DVD boxset release lined up. But I think that's more to the virtue of the show's first season still not being finished broadcasting in the US. So I think we might not see a season set until around 2010-ish. At least not this year.

Man that sucks really bad. Any way the we could but the canadian version ?

Looks like X-men is now on hiatus on Nicktoons again. Seriously why?
