Connection Problems

I've got a wireless internet connection and a 2Wire hub. I use a desktop with Windows XP and a wireless adapter.

Now, a couple times a week, I will temporarily lose my connection for a few moments and whenever the wireless connection restores itself, NONE OF MY BROWSERS ARE ABLE TO RECONNECT again. Every time I lose a signal for maybe just ten seconds, I can no longer browser on IE, Firefox, or on Yahoo. They just can't seem to reconnect unless I restart the computer entirely.

It's been doing this for a very long time, maybe like 8 months or so. I've just been dealing with it.

Who is your provider? AT&T Uverse?

Yep. AT&T. Whenever my laptop is online at home, and the connection drops momentarily (on rare occasion), when it reconnects, it works just fine.

For my desktop on the other hand, when it reconnects, afterward my browsers somehow act as if it's still disconnected.
