Ok here's the deal.

I've got a desktop in my room and as of yesterday, a PS3! i'm having difficulty with my wireless connection on the PS3. the connection isn't strong enough.

Also, I intend on setting up another desktop downstairs and I want to connect it to the internet I have upstairs. I need a router that will give me a strong signal on my PS3 and be strong enough to get a strong connection on the computer downstairs.

Can someone recommend a good router to do this? I'd prefer not to spend more than a 100, but if there's no other option, I might just have to.

what is the distance, and how many walls is it going thru?
What type of walls?

the room is almost immediately beneath mine so i'm not exactly sure about the distance. and the walls are made out of normal stuff
house was built in the 40s if that helps.

I use a Linksys WRT54G and I have it on the second floor of my house and it reaches all the way into the basement where my Xbox360 and laptop are and I get a very strong signal.

The Linksys WRT 45G ones are nice...
I have one

I despise Linksys. I had two WRT54G's and both would constantly cut off, at least once a week it happened daily.

I bought a Belkin and haven't looked back since.

The only thing I have ever done to mine was unplug it and plug it back in because nothing would connect. You pretty much at times will have to do that with all routers/modems. I've had my router for 3 or 4 years and only rebooted it twice.
I just know I get a great signal with it all through my house and in my back yard.

To each their own though.
