Show the love for this excellent demon hunting movie

It reminded me a lot of Angel, but in a very good way. I h ope we get a sequel eventually.

Constantine was a mixed bag for me. Overall I did enjoy it.

The positives:
1. FX. I esp. liked the soldier demon at the beginning and Mammon.
2. Rachel Weisz looked very yummy.
3. Djimon Hounsou as Papa Midnite.
4. Satan & Gabriel. Two very interesting, intriguing takes on these figures.

The negatives:
1. Keanu Reeves' wooden performance. I think Kiefer Sutherland would've done a whole lot better.
2. Balthazar. I don't know much of anything about the Hellblazer comic, but it seemed like this Balthazar should've been doing more than showing us coin tricks.

There's not going to be a sequel.

Constantine being an exorcist and a demon hunter is what the movie got wrong.

the movie was fantastic!

kiefer would be good in ANY role!

Constantin wasn't bad movie, but also it wasn't great.

My final rate is 7.5 out of 10.

Fun to watch when I'm bored, but nothing too fantastic.

i liked the humor... it wasnt cheesy like most movies

Lovely the celebration of mediocrity... Gee Wilickers I love the hype!

I'm going to address the points outside the fact that this film completely raped the great comic it supposely based on.

The film has an interesting enough visual style but that's completely marred by the fact that it's nothing more than a flashy rip-off of Blade and Buffy the Vampire Slayer :)

I love everything about this movie.
I couldn't care less if it's like the comicbook or not.

Let me guess you love Eqiulibrium and Serenity too right? Oh and Bruce Campbell is your Lord and Savior, it was a sin that Bubba-Ho Tep wasn't nominated for anything and Batman Begins should of been noimated for best script? Do any of these ring true with you, answer honestly now...

Constantine is a great movie, hope there'll be a sequel one day even though everyone and everything indicates that there won't be one...

ps : reminded me of Angel too ^^

I enjoyed Constantine

...the first time.

But it's still an alright movie. I'd love to see a sequel, btw.
We need more stuff like that, and it reminded me of Angel as well.

I love Equilibrium.
Haven't seen Serenity.
Bruce Campbell is ok, I like him in Evil Dead 2 and Bubba Ho Tep (which I love).
Batman Begins was excellent, but I couldn't care less about nominations, I'm just happy I got the Batman movie I wanted.

I guess you had some kind of point...?

Your a fanboy, geek, whatever you want call it... It's not a bad thing, it's just that you like things not based on good story-telling but if things are bad-ass, and are uber cool, **** like that. Also most geeks haven't seen or read a lot because most of the time, stuff is just rip-offs that you haven't seen... For example Equilibrium is nothing more than Brave New World with Guns minus all the subtly and genius of the book.

See Serenity, you'll probably love it... I thought it was meh...

I loved Equilibrium while knowing its ideas were lifted from Brave New World and Farenheit 451. I also thought Constantine and Batman Begins and Serenity were very entertaining flicks. Whether or not you or I think these are thought rpovoking or not, if they were rip-offs, or poorly7 adapted makes no difference because I liked the movies for sheer entertainment and I also love thought provoking movies as well. I think philosophical dialogue and great direction oif scenes involving the rawest of human emotions are as "ubercool and badass" as any well-planned action scene.

Please read what my next post said, he's a geek, I don't get what's wrong with that? I wish people would just be honest with themselves instead of getting all defensive, I can be an intellectual snob at times, who the **** cares? God, I think it's hilarious since if you read his post, he actually agreed... So I don't know why everyone's getting there panties in a bunch.

I actually missed this in theaters due to a friend telling me how bad it was, then I finally rented it a few weeks after it came out on DVD and it wasn't really that bad. It had it's flaws, but it was pretty good, and Rachel is HOT. :)
