Constantine

You know, all this talk...

I still love the hell out of the movie, but maybe I'll start getting the graphic novels...

EDIT: Now PREACHER....wouldn't THAT be sweet as an HBO mini-series?

There was actually word about an HBO Preacher series a couple months back. It may've been all bull**** though

But yeah, something like that would kickass. Especially since a mini-series is really the only way to cover the entire Preacher saga :o

I bet Constantine and Jesse Custer would've been great buddies. They'd go out and have beers together and stuff.

BTW, I recently saw something that cited Constantine's first appearance as Crisis on Infinite Earths, any truth to that?

He's in it but his first official appearance is Saga of Swamp Thing #37 by Alan Moore, and there's an unofficial earlier cameo of him in an earlier issue that's pretty insignificant.

Yeah, he did appear behing Abby in Swamp Thing #25. Which might not seem like much, but it kind of makes sense he would've appeared there in the whole grand scheme of things....

In the Crisis cameo - he looks more like Gabriel with the suit and overal clean-cut looks.

What came first though, Crisis or Swamp Thing?

I still think it's more of a coincidence they weren't really thinking about it cuz the character does look different and that shirt he's wearing is really wierd.

Wasn't it the artists who initially put him there in the backgrounds all the time and Moore just decided to make him a supporting character?

I don't even remember it's been a while since I read up on it but it has something to do with Sting :D

Yeah, Constantine was based off entirely on Sting.

At least they got rid of that prissy earring he wore early on....:o

So it seems DC re-released Veitch's run without the original ending :(

Yeah, kind of had that feeling they weren't going to. If they weren't going to release the banned Hellblazer story, they probably weren't going to release the original ending of Swamp Thing :down

You probably can find the script floating around somewhere online, I've never bother to check though, I still have yet to buy Alan Moore Swamp Thing Vol 6 :(

It's a good thing you dropped the latest Swamp Thing series. Boy, did the series go downhill fast....

Yeah I was sensing it was, I stop reading comics though, I'm too lazy and cheap to go weekly anymore, I want just buy trades...

I know theres lots of debate of the quality of the film, but i thought there was a lot of cool scenes including Starsmore as Lucifer. That guy is just awesome in everything he does.

I liked this movie. I'm not much for exorcisms, but it was a decent movie. I didn't realize that Chas became an angel until recently.
