Cop killer on the run calls out to celebs

Here's another question: could anyone give an example of where something that could be considered a terrorist act actually ended up being justifiable?

And I'm talking reality here. V for Vendetta is a great fictional story. What's something that's actually happened in the real world where terrorism was justifiable?
Pretty much every rebellion in history. The rebels always consider their actions justifiable, and history says as much (if they happen to win), while their oppressors and those sympathetic to them would consider the rebellion as terrorism/evil (though "terrorist" is a relatively new term).

Hey! You know what I'm seeing here? I'm seeing MessiahDecoy123 being polite and trying to have civil discussion while others question his mental stability and worth as a person just because he has a different view point. The hell is wrong with you people?

I do not agree with MessiahDecoy123's take on several things. Some of his beliefs might be unconventional and questionable, but being a jerk to him doesn't make you a better person, even if you're right. It makes you an a**hole.

So I have an idea, try having constructive conversation instead of using the internet anonymity as an excuse to berate those with different views. And if you can't do that, then keep your dickish comments to yourself.

Have you even read the previous pages? If you want to make be civil and polite calling them 'jerks', '*******s' and 'dickish' isn't the way to go about it.

We're talking about a lone man who's gone on a killing spree, and Messiah has begun talking about "hive minds" and "supposedly free society" among other conspiracy theories.

"hive mind" is a conspiracy term?

I was just commenting on the creepy way everyone is on the same page on certain matters.

I didn't know it referred to some common conspiracy theory.

Theory, not term.

And everyone agreeing doesn't mean there's any kind of "hive mind", it just means the majority of us are using basic logic and half decent morals.

Nah, I notice you all attacked at the same time like bees.

It was eerie.

Aaaaanyway.........

But it's so nice up here! and I spent some good time looking for a horse this tall ...in any case I'm interested to see what comes out of this whole situation next. Hopefully Dorner is brought down and something actually constructive can be made of what he's done as it relates to LAPD corruption...if it's really even remotely close to as horrible as he claims it is.

Also...and this isn't meant to downplay anything...we don't know if Dorner's initial complaints were actually sound. We all agree that racism and abuse are bad, but we also know that they can be misinterpreted or twisted at times. Not to say that it didn't happen like he said it did, but as others have mentioned...the actions that he's taking don't exactly point to a stable mind, so it can't help but call into question anything that he claims instigated it morally.

Frankly, it could end up being even worse than one says, but this is the wrong way to deal with it, and certainly to draw attention to it, because it makes him and anything he says all the more dismissible as the ramblings of a disturbed mind. If there's a 'cause' to it, this does more to hurt it than anything.

There is nothing creepier or more conspiracy oriented than the majority of your posts in this thread.

It's almost like you've found something that finally has awakened your inner conspirator and you are in happy, happy land.

Just weird.

Yea, we think it's wrong to murder innocent civilians, and that it doesn't make you sympathetic or a revolutionary.

Creeeeeepy.

There was a guy being interviewed, and one of his fears is that there would be some that would put this guy up as their rallying cry and more violence might happen from a wider group of people.

Just scary stuff....

I said "certain matters", not specifically the double homicide thing.

Anyway I don't think whoever he's hiding with is going to sell him out for one million.

They had to be committed to agree to hide him to begin with.

I still think that's a bit extreme...a la, I don't think people will be inspired to go out and murder. If that were the case, then they're sick enough to begin with that Mickey Mouse could probably stir them on too if you catch'em at the right time of the day.

More looting and rioting....again, I think people who want to do that will always find an excuse if it makes big enough news...which of course is a bigger problem in and of itself. But this dude ain't really got much of a 'script', if you will....twisted as that sounds.

He wasn't talking about murder he was talking about your second choice down there....he wasn't talking copy cat at all...

And I agree those people will find a reason in most anything, as will many conspiracy theorists...this is right up their alley....

Again, anything would really pose that 'danger' if it makes headlines and even mentions 'police corruption' in passing. Could be a somewhat understandable reaction by some, but lots of times people are looking for an excuse too. So if they do, and they're caught...they'll go to jail...just like if they looted/rioted any other time.

Can it be SPUN into something that may enflame an already unstable situation.

Heck...what can't these days?
