Corona and other diseases

She’s helping a lot during this pandemic:

I love how there’s ALWAYS a tweet for everything:

We didn’t even have to go back a year to find it!

I know it's a small point, but is it too much to ask that the President of the United States use the correct adverb in a sentence? He sounds like a ****ing idiot....wait, I have an explanation for that.

You’re definitely asking for too much. He can barely complete a coherent sentence. :funny:

Yes. In this case it would be too much to expect.

As they say in Spain "Dont ask for pears to an elm."

I don't know if he can or not. What I DO know is that he doesn't. Man, when I listen to Barack Obama speak, he sounds like someone who has thought about what he's saying.....he says "and" too much sometimes, but at least he speaks in complete sentences and doesn't repeat himself incessantly. I could live with the language if he had any compassion for others and his policies reflected that, but..........

That could affect their survival chances, especially the older supporters.

Not sure why everything has to be political. When it comes to something like this I thought everyone would want the expert’s view.

Welp, looks like MI just doubled their daily deaths, going over 200 in a day. Detroit is about to go to full crisis.

The US is fast closing in on 500,000 cases.

I got an email from the licensing department urging respiratory therapists and RNs to volunteer to pick up additional shifts this morning. It read like it was trying to get you to volunteer for a war which I guess in a way it kind of is.

It’s a crisis in the same way that a war is. These supplies and staff that can handle them are essential for saving many lives so on the frontline the potential victims at least are in a wartime-like state.

With so many deaths worldwide and increasing every day, it's beginning to feel like a gradual Snap as opposed to an instantaneous one. It's hard to believe so many have been killed off at once and feels somewhat surreal. It also feels like someone is going to have to go back in time to undo everything, or if we were obeying Endgame rules of time, just bringing everyone back somehow.

Coronavirus update: So it's been about 9 days since my initial symptoms appeared. Overall everything has been pretty mild. In that span I've had a cough, sore throat, a little bit of tiredness, headache, nasal congestion, runny nose, and loss of smell. Also, had a low grade fever on the second day with chills that lasted for like 2-3 hours and that was that. Currently still have a mild cough with an occasional throat tickle, loss of smell, and headache. The headache has been the worst part because I'm trying to avoid taking anything that would reduce a fever since it's one of the things I need to do to be able to go to work but eventually have to cave in. Haven't taken anything today so hopefully I won't have to.

Also, I live with my parents and my mom who is also a RN got diagnosed two days after me. She has had a lot rougher time than me. It started with a mild cough that she was thinking was related to the masks we have to wear at work because it causes he sinuses to act up. Last weekend she was pretty much bed bound with horrible fatigue, fever, cough, and if she wasn't in bed she was having diarrhea and vomiting. Had to force her to keep drinking fluids and to try to eat some food. Was worried that if it kept up was going to have to force her to go in to the hospital for dehydration. Thankfully, she is starting to feel a little better. Hasn't had the GI symptoms for a few days and is eating/drinking fine. Has a cough, fatigue, and started having the fever again today but not nearly as bad as it was the other day. She has a nasty metallic taste that developed a few days ago too.

Dad is fine but is in forced quarantine by the county.

Thanks for the update. This doesn't sound pleasant at all. Hope you and your mom get well soon.

I'm so glad and relieved your symptoms have been mild and you're on the mend. So sorry about your mom and hopefully she starts feeling better. I can't even imagine how hard it is to only have it but to also care and worry about your parent having it.

Glad to hear that your symptoms aren’t worse, and best of luck for your mum to get better asap.

Pretty sure I ticked off my mom the first few days because I kept popping my head in and doing "wellness checks."

It was scary because I've never seen her like that and was having to game plan in my head what exactly would do if something happened with her breathing. Either go to the hospital we both work at which is I think the better of the two hospitals but my mom would probably stress out having people she knew take care of her or go to the other one which she probably would have good care as well but aren't as familiar.
