Given the ****ery of FL, I would not put it past them to be messing around with the death figures.

Also looks like MI had a big spike today (though it could just be a number thing, do to the lower number yesterday). So, getting a tad nervous. Though locally, the numbers seem to be staying in the single digits.

And the upper pennisula of MI has been pretty free of covid 19.

And this is why no matter the rationales bandied about by "Constitutionalists" or small government conservative types or Libertarians... No, this was not best handled locally. A virus does not operate under the auspices of jurisdictions and it doesn't care about political borders.

Once it hit the mainland it became a nationalized threat. What anyone with a brain understands then and now that what is needed isn't some piecemeal approach with a patchwork of responses, agencies, recommendations, rules and enforcement frameworks. We need an across the board approach robustly enforced. Where it is necessary to adjust and adapt for a region, municipality or state and important information and circumstances that originate there, fine. But going in literally 50 different directions was not the answer for this problem facing America and it never even should have been on the table as a possibility in the first place.

If I had my way, we’d issue a national mask requirement with another stimulus round. Get one citation for not wearing a mask, boom your stimulus is required to be paid back on next year’s taxes.

If they recover, they can help by taking precautions and not make it worse. They call tell others their regret and how foolish they wer. Never too late!

While hospitalized or quarantined they can start following guidelines and warn others of mistakes they made so others won't. They can at least start by admitting their mistake and acknowledge that the virus is indeed dangerous and very real
