Some reporter asked Jen Psaki about travel restrictions. He said when Trump issued travel restrictions, he was called Xenophobic. What would you call the travel restrictions Biden had implemented? He failed to distinguish the underlying reasons for the travel restrictions (Muslim ban, etc.). This would be an ideal situation for her to say that's a stupid and/or disingenuous question. What she said was that she didn't think it was a fair comparison, explained why and went on.

I am all for travel restrictions in order to deal with the pandemic. I am against travel restrictions that target race, religion, etc.

It was a stupid, disingenuous question.

Some of them do and some of them don't, and plenty of poor and middle class people obviously don't think the rules apply to them either.

Hence why I said no one unmasked should be allowed to travel interstate as far as it can be enforced, if thousands of dollars of fines aren't enough of a deterrent.

Most of the time when I get groceries at a local supermarket, I see everyone wearing a mask, but the other day I saw a young couple that stood out because the guy wasn't wearing one at all, and the girl had....some sort of lacy women's clothing item over her mouth. Couldn't tell what it was exactly.

I was half-tempted to say something to them but decided not to. I've reached a point where I just don't care about these kinds of people. Not to sound malicious or anything, but if they don't care about COVID, then they can get it for all I care. At least the vast majority of people are wearing masks in public now, which is good enough for me.

Seems Maryland has now requested volunteers. I love volunteering so of course I've started the process. Part of it is asking about deployment, passports and working with the Federal Government if needed in case of emergency. I'm furloughed but I still have virtual learning with my 10 year old so I can't commit to too much. We'll see how it goes.
