My mom doesn't want a booster. She got Johnson and Johnson so I'm concerned.

I have an idea for an action-adventure TV show: A ragtag crew of ex-military doctors and nurses (financed by a mysterious billionaire) attack and vaccinate unsuspecting citizens. Meanwhile, these vigilante healthcare workers try to stay one step ahead of a special police task force created by Texas and Florida Republicans.

I imagine it is similar clothing requirements and right of refusal. As for the gun part, I imagine it is in a place where no one is going to prosecute it.

At least in my corner, mask mandates have been lifted, but choices now come down to the establishments and individuals. Honestly, I feel that's how it should be. On occasion there'll be a person here or there who mentions they've been vaccinated or ask if they need to wear a mask for comfort's sake around someone else which, while annoying, I get, but again, I think that approach could work in lieu of another potential lockdown.

Unless Omicron spreads like wildfire, which doesn't seem to be the case right now.

Masks make me comfortable. Being lax is what got me sick in the first place. Granted that was when I was unvaccinated, however I don't want to take chances.

There’s no way to tell how someone gets sick . I understand that the popular narrative is to assume that no mask means infection but there are too many variables to take into account to determine how someone gets sick and nail down one reason.

If a mask makes you feel comfortable then by all means wear it for your own sanity/comfort. You will find studies that show masks are effective and studies that show they aren’t at all. I will say…coming from someone who has worked in a Covid Unit last year and currently work in a same day surgery unit were we see patients daily…weve done in-services/training and we have the understandings that standard masks barely do anything at all. We wear it to make the patients feel more comfortable.

However in today’s climate, saying that masks don’t work and are essentially worthless for what they are being used for makes me crazy, a Trump supporter and every other supposed derogatory term a human can think of.
