Corona and other diseases

Did any of you have a reaction to the booster? I had nothing to any of the 3 shots I got.

I had no reaction to my first two Pfizer shots, but I had very mild flu like symptoms with the booster including being tired and somewhat nauseous. That went away within a few hours.

I got Pfizer for all three jabs. The first shot was fine besides some arm pain. The second dose was the worst for me with more arm pain, a big welt where the injection was and fatigue the next day. With the booster, it was just some more arm soreness.

I forgot that I had a bit of a sore arm with the first jab

My big takeaway there is that he was vaccinated, had mild symptoms and has since recovered, which puts me more at ease about Omicron. Obviously I'm still going to take precautions (I even wear a mask outdoors when going to and from work now) but I'm a bit less stressed after reading that.

That the first case in California was fully vaccinated but didn't have a booster, yet didn't require hospitalization at least bodes well for those who only got the two shots (or one for J&J) and haven't been in any rush to get a booster.

Not really. We've only seen a few cases and the sample size is way, WAY too small to draw any conclusions. We'll know more after lab tests are done and we have more people who will (unfortunately) get this new variant.

The explosion of cases in South Africa is not encouraging, though.

Moderna to Pfizer. Booked a Moderna booster through CVS and when I arrived was told they only had Pfizer and that none of the local pharmacies had Moderna. Made a decision to just go with it.
Good call.

More on that when I get back to my computer. But it isn’t encouraging

I got a wicked bruise where they injected me. :funny:
