c'mon, how many of you guys were thinking 'spider-man' when JGL was walking on the ceiling. revolving rooms is the way to go rather than wires. that sequence looked amazing.

A small .gif to illustrate:

The 'problem' with this technique is it's extremely tedious and only works in small environments. Spidey fights everywhere, many times in open areas, so I'm not sure it'd be viable for an entire film. Which then begs to question if it's worth it even for one or two fights if they have a completely different method applied for the rest of the film.

With that said it can't be denied it looked fantastic and unlike anything I've seen before. CGI just can't replicate something that is done for real, so there is that consider.

I had the same thoughts exactly, but after further reflection came to the same conclusion's Crook has described.

If Spidey should happen to find himself fighting in a corridor, I'd hope they would go this route.

It could only be done like this if Spidey was fighting himself or fighting Venom. Otherwise it would have to be CGI.

Not really, this fighting style doesn't apply to him just fighting venom. Spidey is a wall crawler, regardless of who he is fighting. Him adhering to the walls or ceilings gives him a tactical advantage. He could be on the walls, dodging gun fire, blows, weapons and all sorts, while executing all sorts of manoeuvres whilst sticking to a surface.
If the lizard is the "villain" then this method could work easily; in a lab, sewer or wherever.

I think webb needs to be 'clever' with all the tricks for spidey. spidey wears a mask so as long as the build is consistant spidey could literally be anybody, parkour experts, gymnasts, acrobats. use that, use wires, use revolving rooms, use CG, SELL the item that this superhuman and crawl on any surface and is the greatest, most acrobatic hero on the planet.

Yes but you can't rotate a room and have only one actor moving around. I didn't think of Lizard...it could be done with Lizard.
