Two that come to mind almost immediately are: (I know I'm gonna get flak for this)

Now I don't hate the black Spidey suit. I just got tired of looking at it, especially after all the years of Venom hype. I also feel that it deviated too far from his "friendly neighborhood Spider-Man" image, giving instead the appearance of something dark & sinister.
As for Batman, I like the cowl, the scalloped edge on the cape & the gauntlets. The rest of it (I'm sorry, Batfans) is just a recolored Superman suit. I wish they'd done more with this design than they did.

Azbats. it was cool at first but now i'm dont see what the hype was all bout back in the day when it first came out. and especially after they turned the blue parts red.

yeah the symbiote suit use to be cool. but now i dont really every time i see it, i dont get a good taste in my mouth from it. cuz of Spidey 3 mostly.

ill post more later.

I think one of the biggest things that put me off the black suit (which he technically didn't wear in "Spider-Man 3") was the fact that he put it back on 4 TIMES after meeting someone in that same design who'd vowed to kill him. That, and the fact that despite his unrelenting, unparallelled hatred for Spider-Man, Venom would wear something patterned on his motif. That's like me wearing a Lil' Wayne t-shirt.

What you're missing is that Venom hates Spidey because Venom loves Spidey. Imagine a stalker running around wearing a T-shirt with his ex-girlfriend's face on it with the words "AMY AND PAUL TOGETHER FOREVAR". That's Venom wearing the Spidey-symbol.

I can buy that & yet I can't. The symbiote has the jilted lover/stalker complex; Brock doesn't. Brock has the warped mentality of "I must kill you because you inadvertantly ruined my life, & anyone who's been tainted by you must also be destroyed, I hate you, everything about you & all that you represent-however, I value innocents & some people who you care about should be spared & others should suffer (one of my MANY problems with Venom as a whole) and yet, I'm going to do this while wearing your symbol & emulating your style." I could buy it moreso in the movie, b/c Eddie "liked being bad" & set out to corrupt everything the city's beloved hero stood for.

Yeah, looking back I don't see how I use to even remotely like the look of his suit

Nor do I. I still like his own costume but not his Batsuit. My son saw it & thought it was Black Panther-which is a switch.

I have just grown to really hate the bodysuit. He doesn't have the athleticism that it implies. I much prefer his suit jacket look.

i don't like it either....

i also hate Two-Face half black/ half white BTAS... unrealistic as hell

I also dislike the Riddler's spandex suit for the same reason, and the Two-Face black/white suit. Whenever I see that suit on Harvey, I can't help but imagine him forcing a tailor or someone, at gunpoint, to sew the two colors of fabric together.

As for Venom, I always saw his wearing the white spider symbol and eyes as Brock's way of mocking Spider-Man by twisting Peter's old image into something creepy and villainous.

Brilliant... absolutely right!

I like to see his left side looking really warped & twisted-to reflect his perception of the world. Even Tommy Lee Jones' suit did a decent job of capturing that, IMO.

The problem there is, comic Venom doesn't see himself as villainous, but rather as an innocent victim who's out to avenge himself.

Revised: The symbiote is the guy who makes his clingy pushover new girlfriend dress like his hot ex-girlfriend who won't return his calls and has a restraining order on him.

I bet once in a while the symbiote calls Eddie "Petey" and then tries to play it off like he didn't say anything.

According to Spider-Girl, the symbiote's a girl.
But again, it's not like Brock has no say in any of this.

But at this point, Brock's say is equivalent to what a crack addict has to say about crack.

Alright, strike the word "villainous" from my last post.

They don't call it codependency because you don't develop an unhealthy attachment to your abuser.

I love the character of GREEN ARROW, but his costume(s) in the books are kind of weak...

I mean if they altered it & made his costume somehow better I COULD DIG IT...

i still love the character though

I like his costume.
I can't see Kiefer in the role, though.

I actually find your argument about the bodysuit compelling, but find the suit to be edging too far into Joker's look.

I think of him more in a of a trendy-urban-hipster style. Like Steve Jobs in green. The Silicon Valley to Joker's Wall Street, if you ignore all the ways that metaphor makes no sense whatsoever.

yes, it does edge a bit too far into the joker's look. I've always thought that!

The manic potrayals of Riddler are far too similar to the over the top Joker that most bat-fans love!

The suit needs work! I mean just get rid of the Leotard y' know

I think Kiefer could be kindof a moody, sarcastic know it all & have kind of an attitude.... Not be like Michael Keaton's Batman... not brooding, but a little edgy
