For Luthor to create some sort of crystal empowered thug? Think about it, all the crystal needed was water to mutate, and it would take on whatever properties it mixed with. So, say you grind one of the crystals to a fine powder, blow it all over one of Luthor's cronies, and pour water on him...Could the effect spawn some sort of crystal creature?

It would have been an idea. Luthor being in possession of so much knowledge + having the crystals would have been great. He could create something out of it.
But I was thinking at something less campy than just a big crystals creature. More something along the lines of Krypton, Brainiac, Eradicator stuff. Or a kryptonite man. Something taken from the comics but a bit twisted.
