Couple of questions about The Silver Surfer & Doom

Remember in Superman 2 when he tricked Zod and co...into putting him in that tranformation chamber in the fortress...and they turned human. What would happen if Reed did something similar to Doom in this film? What would happen if The Silver Surfer was put in the trasnformation chamber? Was he created by the same cosmic energy as the 4??? I'm assuming so since (if I remember correctly) Tim Story mentioned somehwere that there were clues or hidden little things in the first film that led to this one. I have yet to find those though.

Well, based on that logic, that would mean that the F4 was created by Galactus, because it is his Power Cosmic that turns Norrin Radd into the Silver Surfer. As for Doom being put in the transformation chamber, I think that Doom will be freed already when the film starts and it will maybe explain briefly in flashback how he got freed from his metallic burnt prison. If Doom captures the Power Cosmic from the Surfer, then who is to assume that he will lose the powers in this movie...this film could end on a real sour note and have Doom win, the Surfer realizes the error of his ways, and Galactus arrives...which all this would conclude in the 3rd film....

My guess is this movie will be open-ended; i.e Galactus is still coming soon but for now the day is saved. This lets them go whatever direction they want with the Surfer and Galactus, whether it be FF3 or a Surfer feature film.

I hope there are no more transformation chambers to be seen in this film. Reed's grade school diagram for the chamber from FF1 still makes me cringe. It's been done already, so I hope they move on.

The Surfer was created by Galactus out of pure "power cosmic" with the relatively frail Norrin Radd as a mere template. In fact, Kirby always envisioned him as a complete creation of Galactus, with no history prior to his creation. Stan Lee changing that aspect of the character is reportedly a big reason Kirby left Marvel for DC. (That, and getting little credit for what he'd created.)

The FF received their powers from exposure to average cosmic rays. They just got too close and had inadequate shielding.

Unless they change it for the film.

I wanted Skrulls in this one and surfer in the next one but cant have our way all the time.

Hopefully the space travelling direction will continue in the third film and we can get some skrulls in that one!

Haha - That moment of Superman II still astounds me.
One of the worst moments in any superhero film ever...in one of the greatest superhero films ever. The mind boggles.

Hopefully the Skrull Kill Krew live action tv show will be on tv by then. Still in development over at Marvel.

maybe ff2 is mainly a silver surfer intro mixed with the return of doom and a rounding out of the ff and their stuff, with the coming of galactus at the very end to keep us hungering for ff3 the arrival of galactus.

i don't see them squeezing in the whole galactus silver surfer saga in a two hour or less movie with film left over to smear a little doom in the mix, i think the galactus story should at least be a two parter a-la lord of the rings, which was a three parter. I mean we're talking galactus saga here, for cryin out loud.

Its amazing a little we actually know of the storyline. Its all conjecture. They've done a really good job keeping things under wraps this time.
