i dont see how he can do so many film and still do ironman:csad:

It's not hard to do three movies in a year . alot of other actors have done that . i dont even think he will be working for the rest of this year .

Hmm this has my intrest, one of my fav actors and this does sound intresting, so I'm game.

Nah, I doubt Spielberg will even get time to think about this project. I mean he is working on not only Tintina nd Lincoln, but also on some trial drama and possible another Indy sequel. He is too busy for this one.

But, everything can happen. It's Hollywood, you never know what's going to happen there, when studios announce release date on one day and freeze their films on the next one.

Good news.

By the way Catman, who is that in your avatar? I've always been meaning to ask.

Has anyone read the comic? Is it any good? I think I'm gonna read it anyway, just like to know people's opinions on it.

At least this will give them time to think more about IM3 and develop it instead of diving into it immediately.

The concept for this alone sounds sweet as ****.

Daniel Craig in Talks to Lead Cowboys & Aliens

Source:Collider
January 14, 2010

According to Collider, DreamWorks, Universal and Platinum Studios aren't resting on their laurels replacing the departed Robert Downey Jr. as Zeke Jackson in the Jon Favreau-directed movie based on the graphic novel Cowboys & Aliens. Already in talks to play the role is none other than James Bond himself, Daniel Craig.

Written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci of Transformers and Star Trek fame, the project involves a supergroup of producers including Imagine's Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, Steven Spielberg and Platinum Studios' Scott Rosenberg.

Sounds really intriguing. I like the premise of this movie.

I like Craig better then Downey except for when Downey plays Stark and Iron Man.

Olivia Wilde Joining Daniel Craig in Cowboys & Aliens

Olivia Wilde (upcoming Tron Legacy) is in negotiations to star opposite Daniel Craig in the graphic novel adaptation Cowboys & Aliens, to be directed by Jon Favreau for DreamWorks.

Based on the Platinum Studios title written by Fred Van Lente and Andrew Foley, the sci-fi Western explores what would happen if the traditional Old West enemies -- cowboys and Native Americans -- found the prairie attacked by aliens in mid-1800s Arizona.

Wilde will play a character named Ella who joins up with the mysterious gunslinger (Craig).

Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are producing and wrote the script with "Lost" co-creator Damon Lindelof. Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer are also producing along with Scott Mitchell Rosenberg. Favreau and Denis Stewart are serving as executive producers.

As much as i am looking forward to this movie , i have to ask if Universal isn't taking a risk by letting this movie being released so close the final potter movie ?
It's not like the case with ANgels & Demons or 2012 which had so-so BO in the states but performed very well in foreign markets.
Potter flicks have always performed extremely well in foreign markets and with this being the last movie , i think it'll definately have some major staying power. Not to mention that WB has already announced that it will be a 3d movie and will also secure all IMAX screens.

Cowboys & Aliens will definately need to perform very well if it wants to hold up against potter. As much as i want this movie to succeed ( Craig ftw !) , i can see this as another of Universal's summer blockbuster bombs

if Ford is in, it's about time he allows himself to be in 'supporting role' type in a potential hit movie. Look at Sean Connery, he did that with The Untouchables and he did fine.

EDIT: It's been mentioned in the link posted above.

Favs' Twitter says he is in.

Ford, Craig, Favreau, Spielberg, and Ron Howard???

wtf... lol
how is such a strange movie like this getting so much talent?!

this definatly has my interest, sounds awesome.

with Ford in, it'll be surreal. Image if he's the 'mentor' type. Weird!

anyway, if Jon Favs continue on the right path, he could be a next gen version of an Amblin-type director. Not so much Spielberg, but a young Zemechkis or Joe Dante.

If Ford will be like a Connery type character from The Untouchables I'm gonna see it. Oh, hell, I'll probably be seeing this anyway. With all this talent involved, it's gotta be something special. Far beyond this concept that may sound kind of silly at first. Let's hope it works.

the funny thing is that i've read the first issue of the comic and it's kinda bad. the art was done all on computer and i hate that 'drawn and painted with a computer look'.
