True story

2006 I went to the cinema for Casino Royale. The audience was into the movie.

They laughed at all the right places. Jump to the end

"The names bond.....James bond"

James bond theme plays

Audience does a standing ovation

I never heard anything about this movie before, but after seeing that trailer, I am sooo seeing this opening day.

Similar thing happened in QoS. When the gun barrel started at the end everyone was going NUTS

Craziest reaction I've ever heard to a trailer was for Toy Story 3. I saw it front of Up at a movie theater in NY, and it was a later show so the audience was mostly adults, and I'm guessing a lot of them didn't know there was a Toy Story 3 coming out. When the title came up people were shouting "NO WAY!!" and everyone started cheering. When they showed the release date for 2010, the lady next to me yelled "That's too long!!"

It was crazy. :wow:

I was in that showing of Snakes on a Plane were someone released all those snakes in the theatre. Crazies movie EVAR:awesome:

True Story.

Someone from the film school/production company that I graduated from last year showed me a video of him at the theater seeing Casino Royale.

When it got to the gun barrel point of view shot where James Bond fires his gun, he pretended to get shot and threw his bag of popcorn. :woot:

The ultra serious nature of the trailer is just very amusing to me somehow.

It's cool that he is talking the tone and Ford. I think it is probably better than the pre-production scuttlebutt that is always asked.

One thing I noticed(and love) about Favreau is that more so than any other director I can think of right now, he loves communicating with the people(geeks) who see his movies. I think sometimes the studios have to hold him back from it but this is a guy who clearly loves his job and wants to share the experience with the fanbase.

Perhaps, but I just love hearing talk about genre stuff. He's clearly got a real good unserstanding of it. Also, we can now stop saying that we can see the wires when the cowboys get abducted by the aliens. Favs confirmed that it is indeed a visible device the aliens use in the movie to snag people. It's not a movie mistake or goof.

Only the most pathetic of nerds would seriously complain about that wire. Anyone with even a shred of common sense ought to know it wasn't a goof. I actually feel bad for Jon that he had to justify that crap with anything but outright mockery.

Complaining and pointing out minutae likes that make some feel intellectually superior

Just watched the trailer for the first time. I was interested beforehand just with the idea of Daniel Craig in the old west, now I am quite ready for this.

In the trailer I keep catching glimpses of Harrison Ford in the cowboy hat and I keep thinking of the "other hat" he used to wear.

I'm surprised Favereau even brought it up. This is the only place I know that talked about it

Is MTV and Favereau watching us?

>_>

<_<

I saw more of those stupid comments on Youtube than anywhere else.

Jesus Christ people, I clearly thought it was a goof sloppily put into the trailer. To me it looked like a wire. Now that I know it wasn't meant to be one, fine. I'm never the person to nitpick the hell out of a trailer anyway.

I have absolutely no clue what u ppl are talking about...guess I need to see the trailer again.

The trailer looks good. Perfect teaser sets up the tone and gives us a glimpse without spoiling us like so many trailers do this days. I'm curious as to what the aliens look like. I just hope they're unique and scary.
