Crisis, Crisis, Crisis ?

I am new here and it look's like there are a ton of very knowledgeable comic guys here.


I collected every single Batman, Detective, mini, Elseworld from around '86 up to January of '05. I had something serious come up and stopped reading and buying up until about 3 weeks ago. My buddy had a Blackest Night and a few Final Crisis books in his back seat so I picked them up, read them and was hooked instantly!


So here is my question and sorry about the length of the post but I cannot seem to find good help anywhere.


I wanted to know if I bought ONLY Infinite Crisis trade and left out the 100 or so tie ins, x overs and such, as well as JUST Final Crisis 1-7, and left out Sup Beyond, Rouges Revenge, and all the others, how much of the story will I be missing out on, if my main concern is the batman, GL, and Flash world?

Also, would not reading 52, Countdown and all the other stuff hinder my knowledge of Bat,GL 7 Flash much.
