For those who have seen X-Men:The Last Stand know that Cyclops was killed by Jean Grey off-screen and early on in the film. Now this has been talked a lot but how exactly would you guys resurrect Cyclops in any future installments of the trilogy?

Short of completing rebooting the series there are only 3 ways for cyclops to appear In future X-Men films.

1:X-men:Days of Fuutre Past Is sequel to X-Men First Class,X-Men,X2,and the
Wolverine and Cyclops appears In future scenes
2:The time traveling In DOFP at end remove the Last Stand event from Cannon
and Cyclops Is seen alive at end of film In new post X2 future where events of
    Last Stand didn't happen
3:Teenage Cyclops Is Introduced when First Class era films reach late 1970's
Ignoring the Events of X-Men Origins:Wolverine

If Days Of Future Past is the last we see of the characters from that era then there is no need. The sentinel timeline can be an alternate time where Cyclops didn't meet his TLS fate (or not, if Cyclops doesn't appear).

If FOX continue with the OT characters, then the events after DOFP can be in a timeline altered by that film.

I think AL meant come up with our own creative idea for bringing back Cyclops.

    Mine would be:
Before Phoenix could kill Cyclops Jean regained consciousness and and then fainted from the exertion. (explains why she was unconscious when Wolverine and Storm found her in X3) Cyclops was found by Sinister and has been experimented on countlessly. Sinister then sends him to lead his marauders against Morlocks where he meets the X-Men who come to defend them.

Cyclops would appear in an X4 movie (after Days of Future Past) which would lead into X5. It would be an adaptation of Age of apocalypse.

Here's what I quickly came up with:

Phoenix didn't kill Scott. Instead, she sent him to the Axis of Time from where he tries to contact Professor X, and the remaining members of the X-Men in the apocalyptic future. Scott tells the professor that an assassination by the Brotherhood in the 60s is what triggered all of the events leading to this future. Xavier is able to send Scott back to the 60s to meet the original members of the X-Men to help change the future.

Resurrecting or bringing back Cyclops wouldn't be a hard task especially if he wasn't killed in X3 in the first place and if they explained his disappearance if they are gonna bring him back. But his return should have something to do with the major plot of the movie.

Since Cyclops "death" was off screen it's very easy to bring him back.

Cyclops shows up at the mansion looking all ragged with worn-out shoes and using a broken tree branch like a white cane: "Greetings from the picturesque Alkali Lake! It was lovely, thanks for asking! Wish you could have been there!"
