As I I understand it, Salvation is Darkseid’s training ground and it’s controlled by Desaad.

Ahh ok. Wasn't familiar with the story. I guess we'll see but I'm not anticipating it. We actually saw Brainiac concept art from the horse's mouth. That script pic of a brain also feels very deliberate.

Yeah, Supes has such a great rogues gallery and Brainiac is long overdue. I agree that the brain picture on the script was a deliberate hint at Brainiac but I guess as a fan I’ve been burned so many times at this point I feel like it’s never going to happen lol.

It's about time we got Brainiac. I hope Brainiac isn't too classic and is a little menacing and sinister like James Marsters' Brainiac in Smallville. The only issue I had with Brainiac asa character is that he is an android or artificial intelligence, or whatever, but how can he have emotion? I enjoyed the animated film Superman: Brainiac Attacks, but I feel like Brainiac wouldn't be interesting enough if all he cares about is collecting knowledge for research. It would sound bland and boring if you ask me. Maybe he can create Milton Fine.

Thoughts on Brainiac aside though, if Superman didn't let Lois interview him until 3 years after his debut, then who named him Superman? It would kind of ruin it for me if someone else did, or worse if he decided to name himself Superman.

I don't expect to see a flashback showing us how Superman and Lois met but I would find it nice. I don't think it would ruin it if we saw Lois more involved in the plot and climax and getting rescued by Superman-not that she needs saving all the time, she can still kick ass which I think is also important.

I don't know if anyone else feels the same, but if Gunn was introducing Jimmy Olsen for the first time, but we never saw him use his camera or take photos once--I feel like it was missing a piece of that character. He should have at least a scene or two with Superman.

It all depends on how Supergirl and Lanterns (mostly Supergirl) do next year, if they're well received then things will bode well for Man of Tomorrow and if MOT is as well received as Superman was then James Gunn will have carte blanche to do whatever he wants and continue his plans regardless of who takes over WB.
We already have hints of what those plans are including a 4 'superman saga' film series and wonderwoman with Batman being thrown in there somewhere. Then there is Swamp Thing, maybe a Mr Terrific series or film or perhaps the Authority will be back on, the options are endless.

One thing should be noted: If David Ellison buys WB like he did Paramount then don't expect to see Superman fighting Boravia aka Israel ever again because Ellison is a staunch zionist and will not allow Israel to be shown in a bad light (even though the word Israel was never uttered in the movie). One possible scenario is that Gunn gets notes/orders from Ellison to not bring up the subject of Israel/Palestine ever again and Gunn decides to walk but that's pure conjecture at this moment in time.

At the end of the day, when it comes to business (just like in sports) winning is the only thing that counts and if Supergirl, Lanterns, Clayface and MOT are will wins then we will all discover how deep the 'gods and monsters' well goes.

Makes sense, I kinda assumed this to be the case with Lex co-headlining. Probably taking some inspiration from Luthor. Potentially very interesting and unique, which is exciting, but I also remember the Russos saying Thanos was "the protagonist" of IW and thinking that could potentially be interesting, and that turned out to be a whole bunch o' BS, so we'll see how it's actually executed.

I'm thorn because in one hand, it's an interesting premise, but in the other, I'm not thrilled about Superman being demoted to co-protagonist again, even if this time it's for another Superman character.

Yes. It is an equal parts Superman/Lex Luthor movie as described by James Gunn.

I think I'd be less annoyed by the demotion if Superman didn't already have to share the spotlight with the Justice Gang on the first movie, and the fact that it's going to happen again frankly kinda tells me that Gunn is not really interested in telling a "fully" solo Superman story.
