Great replacement... Marvel moves on, while Goddard moves to fix the Sinister six
 
Well, I prefer Goddard over DeKnight, but DeKnight is still a very worthy replacement. :up:

I'm feeling much better about this show's potential than Ant-Man's right now.

Sounds like a relatively minor change in the scheme of things, assuming that "Goddard staying on as writer and creative consultant" is actually meaningful and not face-saving. And being offered direction of a big budget franchise film isn't exactly a small thing to turn aside.
 
Hopefully they'll announce some casting stuff quickly. I imagine with a new showrunner coming on they wanted to get his input for casting.
 
Just heard the casting news! I've never seen him in anything but he looks good for the role.
 
i think Sony needs a talent like Goddard more than Marvel does. I can't wait for this. I hope it's closer in quality to the movies than to Agents of SHIELD
 
I know him from boardwalk empire and he's an ok actor I guess. He never really stuck out as incredibly good or bad. BE does have an incredibly talented casted so I'm sure that may have played a factor.
 
So this show is being done by the guy who did Spartacus. I can already tell its going to have a lot of Cox in it.
 
The guy did solid work in Boardwalk Empire, albeit in a relatively small role considering that show's expansive, sprawling cast. I like that Marvel went for a relatively small name, someone with acting chops that can make the character his own. Solid casting. I'm on board.
 
Just to double check, but it's been confirmed that this, along with the other netflix shows will be connected to the MCU?

Do you guys think we will see DD Origin story on the series?

Would love it if DD uses a yellow costume before changing to the red one*:)
 
I've never really liked the yellow costume. Plus, yellow is REALLY hard to make look good in live action. The red costume fits the whole "devil" motif much better imo.
 
If they do the origin I hope they do it properly with Stick, I never liked that in the film he somehow trained and turned himself into Daredevil completely on his own, with no help from anyone.
 
^ It's worth pointing out that Stick was a later addition (so he was originally conceived as training himself), but I do agree completely that he should be in in some form (see my idea for the season earlier in this thread).

Well, there's at least one if not more things wrong with this sentence.
 
I'd like to see the yellow in some capacity.

But thank God it's in present day and not the 70s. I had no desire to see that, especially since it'd connected to the MCU.
