Getting his sight back would only make his other senses drop back down to normal level. It takes the loss of one to heighten the other. It doesn't stay when the missing sense comes back.

Not necessarily true...its just the dependency on your other senses that heightens your others. If he uses his other senses a lot still they will still pretty much stay the same.

But he's perfected the other senses for well over a decade now. I can understand if his sight was only lost for a couple months, 2 or 3 years even. That amount of time though? It's like second-nature to him now is it not?

The other senses heighten in the absence of another. As the eyesight comes back and gets stronger, the need for the other will dissipate. It will also cause them to not be as keen as they were. It may take a while, but they will not stay as good as they are. Now, if he were to go blind again later, then perhaps the senses would kick back up to phenomenal levels almost instantly, but the enhanced ones will surely go back to normal eventually.
