Dark Knight: Boy Wonder

u guys ever notice how explicitly sexy dc and marvel has become? this is borderline softcor porn.........annnnnnd we love it.

I don't think it is... but I guess it depends on what your definition of it is.

I think the level of sexuality is pretty evenly matched to the tone of the book.

I mean, if you're reading something from Vertigo or M-rated, you'll see considerably more than you will in your general T-rated comics.

IT's almost 2 years since the date this was supposed to be released, when is Lee going to be released from Justice League?

Just started reading this, think its awesome so far just gt to where Black Canary cleas up that Bar. I do wish the artwork matched The Dark Knight Returns though but gotta love Jim Lee.

After a very good start up to the first appearance of Black Canary I was sorely disapointed. I hate the way Wonder Woman acts in this, Hal Jordan is treted with no respect and worst of all the Batman is a complete *****e. I have a hard time fitting this in between Batman Year One and TDKR's. Batman doesn't act like he does in this in either of those. At the end I wanted Hal Jordan to kick his butt. Shame but All Star Batman isn't a patch on All Star Superman.

It's definitely more of an extreme Miller-Batman than ever before, for certain. Though, if you've read Dark Knight Returns or Dark Knight Strikes Again... this series shouldn't come as much of a shock. :cwink:

Also, I really found the treatment of Hal Jordan to be quite humorous. I will agree with you on Wonder Woman, as her portrayal was not to my taste.

I have read those but I think this is more extreme, Batman didn't act like that although I suppose in those books he is a much more mature man. I just hated all the I'm the goddamned Batman, its just so Batgod lol.

Oh yeah the book was hilarious at times, some of the comedic stuff was well written but I love Green Lantern and I just think they mocked him.

Gotta say I loved the line where Batman was like Blaarg what does Blaarg mean? haha

For me if its Jim Lee holding up Dark Knight: Boy Wonder why doesn't Miller just do it himself or DC get another artist to finish it?

Oh for sure, it's a very extreme version of Batman. I think Dark Knight Returns was an extreme version of Batman (at the time)... and so is this. It just seems light years away from what he did back in '86.

He definitely mocked Green Lantern, but did it in a way that a lot of people actually think about the character. You have the greatest weapon in the universe and all you can do is make giant fists with it? :cwink:

haha... and I think "blargh" means "barf" or "I'm gonna puke"

As far as getting Jim Lee to finish it, I'd imagine neither of them need the money at this point and that's why the project stalled. It probably didn't sell the way DC wanted, and I also can imagine that DC wanted them to steer the story quickly in another direction. It says a lot that several years have gone by and they haven't finished it... to me that screams that DC doesn't particularly care one way or the other.

Jim Lee said at SDCC 2011 his pencils were finished for DK:BW. Obviously though, it was overshadowed by the relaunch. I wouldn't expect to see it until after Jim has done his arc on Superman: The Man of Steel, or whichever title he is supposed to be on next.

All-Star Batman and Robin was my guily pleasure, so extreme it was funny, hope to see this series completed soon and to see Miller do more of Batman, but set in his Dark Knight universe of course ;)

It was funny I have to admit that and although I wasn't a fan of what it was I do wanna see how it ends.
