Nobody's ruling it out.

showUSloc=(checkLocale('uk')||checkLocale('au'));document.writeln(showUSloc ? 'US, ' : '');February 24, 2007 - At this year's New York Comic-Con, the panel for Wil Eisner's The Spirit yielded some interesting discussion of Frank Miller possibly directing an installment of the Batman franchise.

Miller, of course, is well known for his work on the Dark Knight Returns graphic novel, a gritty account of Batman's later years. When asked about Miller's involvement in a possible movie involving the Caped Crusader, producer Michael Uslan—who had a hand in producing most of the modern Batman films, said, "I believe in Frank Miller 100%... I think the sky's the limit in terms of Frank's talent."

While that response is not necessarily an endorsement of such a project, it wasn't a rejection. Stay tuned to IGN for all of your Batman movie news.

thanks to crazy El :yay:

If Frank Miller is as good a director as he is a writer then get ready for some oscar caliber comic book movies.

I'm a big fan of Sin City the comics but Miller didn't convince me in Sin City the movie.

I LOVED Sin City (both the comics and the movie) I can't wait for the second one. I think if Frank directed DKR that would be so awesome. We could have Keaton play old bats!

Uhh no. Miller has gone on record stating how much he dislikes Burton's batman. And Keaton is in no way shape or form right for the role.

TDKR as a animated movie I could see been done but as a live-action we are long way to go since there is Nolan's Batman movie series.

I think Brian Dennehy would be a good Old-Bats, and he look's like Miller's DKR Batman.

Im all for animated DKR rather than live action. I think an old TAS style animated movie would be much better than a live action DKR. I think the main reason with Live action would be finding a good Superman, they are all gone, too new or suck. So I say animated version ftw.

Wasn't this mentioned as possibly being one of the DC Animated movies coming out?

I'm not sure if Miller could DIRECT it--I mean, directing animation is very different from live-action--but I'd love to see him script and do character designs for it, though.

I can't stand anything about Frank Miller. He's a sellout, and thinks he's the god damn creator of Batman.

Story telling and directing a full length motion picture, are not in the same ball park. So to say he'd be a good director is 110% assininity.

Uh...you do realize that he was a co-director for Sin City, right? :o

F--k that! I want Tim Burton to direct with Keaton returning in the role!

He looks the same in the face, just his hair thats going :p

Isn't Bruce Wayne like 80 in DKR?! Then, who cares?

I think bruce is 50 or 60 years old in TDKR.

I got confused with Batman Beyond. But, anyway, Keaton is the perfect age!

Animated version please, Miller on Script and character design.

Burton and Keaton to stay 100m away from everything regarding TDKR.

Miller also thinks he created Daredevil. Honestly, if I was Bendis I woulda hit Miller upside the head with the damn award. I've hit people for less.

While Denahy would have been a great choice 10 years ago, he has way to many health problems to do it now unfortanatly.

What about Craig T. Nelson? I always thought he'd be awesome.
