Darthphere's House of Style: From Geek to Chic.

I feel you. I have some black Guess ones. I wear them out all the time but I feel a little weird sometimes.
You're braver than I am. I always feel that it won't look good with the rest of my wardrobe. I'll get it done someday..

I usually wear them with straight black jeans and a plaid button down.

Perfect

The shoes of choice for me are my:

-White Adidas sneakers
-Black Nike Shox
-Black Italian leather boots.

:wow:

You're more style-conscious than me! Would you describe yourself as a metrosexual?

Definitely not. I just don't like going out into the street looking like a bum. I don't get mani and pedis' or anything like that. And no waxing.

What do you guys think of Affliction t-shirts?

I don't dig them so much. I think shirts with the all-over design on them are kinda tacky for the most part. Some people are able to pull them off, but I wouldn't wear one personally. Hell, the pricetag on those shirts have more to do with me not buying one than the designs. $75 for a regular ass t-shirt? Be gone.

So, what kind of shoes do you guys wear?

Lately...

I want a custom made suit and A nice Fedora. I am not a fashion person all I wear is cargo pants and t shirts all dark colors.

I usually wear nice button down shirts- a lot of them being plaid and the rest being semi-military inspired....with some slim jeans(some would say skinny jeans, but they definitely aren't skin tight, between relaxed fit and skinny :p). I usually wear black, grey, and white, but also tend to slip some olive green and dark blues in there.

The things I wish I could pull off would have to be cardigans, pea coats, and certain hats....but I'm too big and my head is too big. haha Oh and I also wish I could pull off nice sunglasses, but they just never look nice.

In all fairness, just because a guy isn't overly style-conscious, doesn't mean that he walks the streets looking like a bum. And not ALL metrosexuals get manis and pedis to my knowledge. :p

I am the farthest thing from stylish. I wear whatever's comfortable. Solid colors, basically. With the occasional funny tee.

I feel awkward wearing white sneakers/shoes and wearing shoes with a thin sole. I have yet to buy a pair of Jordan's.

I always end up wearing a solid color button shirt with a white T underneath with a pair of boot cut jeans and well worn brown hiking boots or loafers if I am feeling lazy. I never really changed that much over the years. I never sagged my pants I always wear a belt...really always.

I do end up wearing my blazer with elbow patches just bc I like it alot.

I wear long sleeve shirts under short sleeve shirts under long sleeve shirts....

Oh yeah. There are some guys who are naturally gifted. Robert Pattinson doesn't take a shower for a week and just tosses his hair around and girls go crazy. I have to work to look good.:csad:

No! You don't say!

This is pretty much an offshoot of the Gay Male Prostitutes Saggy Jeans debate. We started discussing skinny jeans and their comfortableness or lack thereof. Ladies and Gentleman are welcome. Don't be shy guys, talking about fashion is like totally the in thing to do these days. So here's a few ice breaker questions to get things rolling:

What's your favorite clothing brand? (Limited to 3 because I know someone will ***** about not being able to choose one.)

When designing an outfit for a night on the town, what do you focus on first? (i.e. shoes, shirt, jacket, jeans/pants)

How would you define your style? Hybrid answers are welcome.

Your favorite article of clothing?

Your least favorite article of clothing?

Your favorite accessory? (This could also include any tech like a cellphone)

One fashion item you wish you could have but can't? State reason why.

Hmmmm...

Clothing brand? Dude, I don't give a **** who makes it, as long as it catches my eye.

Night on the two...shirt.

Fav? I guess my Delhomme #17 Panthers Jersey.

Socks with holes in them.

My smokes and lighter's. Yes,...not a good answer, but oh well.

I dunno about the last question.

Darth, do you ever post your picture? I'd like to SEE how you pull off your style.

Henry Lloyd, G-Star Raw Denim or Diesel.

Shirt first

A cross between urban/sporty, pretty boy and football hooligan. ie jeans, polo shirt/button up shirt, knitted sweater, shoes or trainers. I've been known to flex a suit sometimes.

Your favorite article of clothing?

My Diesel jeans. Oh, and my leopard print thong

Your least favorite article of clothing?

The bootleg/flared jeans my aunt bought me last Christmas.

Your favorite accessory? (This could also include any tech like a cellphone)

My Police sunglasses.

A genuine Saville Row suit. Reason? Too ****ing expensive!!!

I think fashion is all about self confidence. I mean, there are some looks I would love to try but I'm way to self conscious about it. Like cowboy boots. I love them, but I feel stupid wearing them out.
I used to be like that. The key for me was the first pair of cowboy boots I got were pretty minimal. They were black, more rounded of a toe and mostly smooth leather, not etched a lot or anything. Those boots could be owrn with jeans, and most people wouldn't even notice they were boots unless they were really close or directly looking at them.

Once I got completely comfortable wearing those in a city, I graduated to a more traditional brown leather boot.

Obviously if the people you hang out with are wearing them it makes it easier, but I noticed that even if I'm the only one at the bar wearing cowboy boots, most won't notice.
