That one did not look as nice in the store. The quality didn't feel very good to me for some reason. They had some other nice ones.

UO is definitely more of a women's store I think. All the guys stuff is fairly cringe worthy.

X-Chick, about those Nike's...from a purely practical sense, I have been told that Nike's are the absolute worst when it comes to actually providing foot cushioning and ankle support. All style no substance as my pedorthist put it. If you're doing any serious running I would consider getting New Balance's. They're highly recommended across the board.

The Air Max 360 is a very comfortable shoe with great cushioning. I do know that the first run had issues with the large air unit bursting...I'm not sure if the problem has been solved although the 2009's sole does appear to have been retooled. As far as cushioning goes I have always felt the Air Max series is top notch. The thing about Nike is that they retro alot of their models and with a retro you get old technology with them. They are also bad about skimping on their Air Units when retroing a shoe, making them smaller and using cheaper materials than the originals...I guess they feel when buying a retro you are buying them for fashion more than function.

If you want new running shoes, get some Asics.
 
If you are really wanting a shoe for running the best thing to do, if you can, is actually go and try on different brands. What is right for you may not be right for someone else. I've been running in a pair of Nike Shox R4's for the last 2 months and have had no problems with them, but I've heard people complain about them hurting their feet on runs.

Ooo I heard Asic's are very good too. My pedorthist told me to buy those or New Balance. Sandal wise, if you have foot problems, it's all about Birkenstocks.

I abhor NB's, for both look and performance. :o

I've been running seriously for a while now, like years, and Nikes are pretty much all I've ever used. They have been the only ones to not cause massive shin splits and they provide my particular feet with the best fit and support. I first got fitted into Air Max Motos several years ago at a running store and have stuck with Nike ever since.

Yeah, I've been a fan of the Air Max series for years. The cushioning has far surpassed anything else I've tried. Though, the past few year or two, I've liked the Experience, but I've heard great things from some of my friends who run and already have the 09s. So I'm going to give them a shot, if it doesn't work, I can always go back to the Experience or even Motos. :up:
 
Ok guys, I could use your help. I'm looking for shoes, something casual but sort of dressy. Not sneakers. Any recommendations?

Asics are the most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn, by far.

I don't know. I'm a "I'll know when I see it" shopper. I'm a pain in the ass to shop with. My friends that are girls have told me this constantly.
