COntroversial statement: I think out of the main 4 Garfield had the least great performance. He was good, no doubt but I think the other guys trumped him. I actually dont think he really deserves a nod for this at least not over the others
Garfield is a great actor and I think that a nom would be deserved but...out of the supporting performances I enjoyed Timberlake and Hammer's more.

In layman's terms it mimics miniature photography. See here for a more showy example of this technique.

I finally got a chance to see this. I thought it was great! 9/10

Finally got around to watching the movie.

I love it. I honestly love it. Wonderful story brought to life by a brilliant director and cast.

I literally had a smile on my face throughout the entire movie. I've never gotten that much enjoyment out of a movie as I did this movie.

Easily my favorite movie of the summer, and probably all time.

Yes, over Moon and Monsters.

I thought Timberlake was good, but I really don't think the role was all that much of a stretch for him. He had two really good scenes that stand out:

the bust on the house and when Eduardo realises he was ****ed over.

For me, Garfield and Eisenberg definitely trumped him. I think it'd be a bit of a joke if Timberlake got a supporting actor nod over Garfield tbh. But then again, the Academy do have a track record of making such ludicrous decisons. I'll never know how Brolin got a supporting actor nod over Franco and Hirsch in Milk for example.

Timberlake was great, but I agree that Garfield was better.

Hell, the confrontation between the two proves Garfield is better.

Oh the tilt****, while awesome, is pretty old.

Just look at [Adult Swim].

I don't know when you saw the movie man, but October is in no way in the confines of the summer movie summer season.:oldrazz:

The Timberlake hate is funny. Luckily I don't have to really pick anyone because I thought everyone was fantastic. I'll be alright with whoever gets nominated.

And yes it is hate. The fanboys are looking for a reason to down his performance because he started out in a boy band, is still popular as a solo artist and has alot of female fans. Plus he's damn goodlooking. Those things are the kiss of death on the internet. Anyway, everyone is do their informed opinion so whatever.

Happy that the movie is still doing well. I don't think that it will hit 100mil but 95mil is possible. As a matter of fact I'm happy to see the Town doing well too. It's nice to see Adult, non-comicbook movies doing well.

Uh, no, it's simply because I don't think the role was all that much of a stretch for him. I like JT, he's by far not the worst guy in the music industry right now. I just don't think his role is worthy of an oscar nod. It has nothing to do with "fanboy hate".

Grow up and stop generalising.

^You seemed to get awfully offended by that post. I'm sure their are plenty of people who truely believe that he just "wasn't that good" and I respect those people's opinions but I'm not going to pretend that after 7 years on hype that I don't know how the majority of fanboys act.

For instance that nothing role that that kid played in KickAss has been deemed worthy of some awards noms for and the very idea of Timberlake getting a nod for The Social Network is scoffed at. All that kid do was look cute and cuss and she has more support than a real performance from another actor who just happens to be a music star. I'm sorry but I just plain don't understand that.

Anyway maybe you don't have anything against him, TheFuture, but the majority do and I'm not going to ignore that fact to make anybody feel better. Crash being nominated and winning best picture is a travesty, if Timberlake gets nominated for TSN (I don't think he will) that will be far from a terrible thing.

Well I agree with you there, it's utterly ludicrous to suggest that Moretz deserves a nom for that role. It was a good role that established a new likeable child actor, that's it.

I do think at least one of the four will be nominated. Who most likely will it's difficult to say. I've never had a harder time in deciding who ultimately would.

I do too. If I were a betting woman, I'd bet money on Spider-Man 2.0 getting the nod. Above all though, Jesse Eisenberg, the picture, the screenplay and the movie better get nods.

I dont see any Timberlake hate:huh:

Any way I hope Eisenberg gets picked and then Timberlake and Hammer would be cool too

If I had to say, I'd say that this would be the nominations: Questions marks mean I'm not sure

Best Picture
Best Director
Best Adapted Screenplay
Best Actor (?) - Jesse Eisenberg
Best Supporting actor - Andrew Garfield
Best Musical Score (?) -

Garfield I feel's the only certain one for me and the others depend on the depth of the competition this year.

Hahahahha, if that's the case, just give the award to whatever twilight moving is out that year.
