X-Men - Part 8

Wow... there's so much **** going on right now. I thought they'd be reflecting something.
Feels like the books are in a holding pattern for the sake of corporate synergy tbh. Editorial was saying to the writers that they had to hold out until the upcoming Age of Revelation event, so maybe it'll get more interesting now.

That's nice to know.

Any of them trans?
Not in Uncanny, though there is some other queer representation there. A new character in the Storm solo has recently been revealed to be trans. The only other prominent trans character from the Krakoan era (Escapade) has been moved to Avengers Academy. That's one of the mobile-only infinity comics.

Officially confirmed now that Age of Revelation will last three months. Seems like we're losing a few books afterwards, but others are continuing. Exceptional X-Men and Hellverine have finished their runs. Magik also ends at #10, I think. The new Eve Ewing book isn't listed as a flagship title for AoR, unlike Jed MacKay and Gail Simone's books. Storm is safe, though, and we already have a tease for where that book is heading after AoR.

Small correction (and bit of a surprise tbh), but it seems Magik isn't actually ending yet. Phoenix is though.

Curious, because I thought Phonenix wasn't ending, but getting a new writer.

Just because it hasn't been posted here yet. The next era is Shadows of Tomorrow.

New series:
  • Cyclops
  • Wade Wilson: Deadpool
Continuing:
  • X-Men
  • Uncanny X-Men
  • Wolverine
  • Storm: Earth's Mightiest Mutant (Edit: continuing the story, but confirmed as a new #1. Must be a recent change because Ayodele previously referred to it as #16.)
  • Magik returning in some form (?)
  • ???
More information on 10/10.

The X-Men has so many immigrants, and seeing what's happening (among other things)... the X-Men looks so urgent.

Think they don't want to rock the boat. At least with most of these titles. Hopefully, at least the future timeline do a bit more of this since it's not a permanent status quo. Krakoa was definitely a lot more bold.

There is also a rumor of a Psylocke: Ninja book.

So yay, my solos survived.
The solo books are something I'm really happy with as well. A highlight of this era IMO.

Its so strange that, forever, the team books sold well and only Wolverine could carry a solo

but now we're in an era where the Solo books are beloved and people are meh on the teams

if only we could achieve balance, and get both good solos and team books
