Yeah, I've gone from ''moderately interested'' to ''my most anticipated film for the rest of this year''. And hopefully, It'll be released in my country this year, and not early 2011. *fingers crossed*

God, I can't wait for this now. Nearly two weeks to go!

Just came back from a screening and can't recommend it enough. Easily one of the year's best 9/10

I was unjustsly skeptical when this project was announced, I'm now convinced it will be good. I can't wait.

I told my friends this:

A movie like this should be easily dismissed because there hasn't been a movie ABOUT today's generation and the tech that surrounds us. Let's face it: Millions upon millions use the internet and facebook EVERY DAY. It's not just a social network but now a lifestyle so why not make a movie that influenced today's society?

because its a movie about the creator of f.... childish facebook. and it will try to make it look like this is a true story.

When I first heard about this, I was all 'WTF?'... but now I know more about it, I'm curious to say the least. The digital age is upon us and it's fitting film, like some novels are doing, will have something to say about it.

Give it a chance, b. Really, what's up? Like it or I'll poke you!

it just makes me angry that now people are acting like ''hey its Fincher so it means it will have good actting and good directing''. no s...... Sherlock. it was always going to be a good movie. i have a problem that its about Facebook.

why couldnt they made up characters and change facebook to something similar? so use the facebook story as an inspiration? b
because the movie is made only for the money. faceook is popular now and they will watch it. not because what Fincher has to say about us. no, they will watch it for the geek who is now rich.

You can't actually know that, though, and it's very cynical of you. Take it how you will, but don't second guess people's motivations.

well Fincher is not doing this because of Facebook. the studio is.

So? Such is life. Businesses do things to make money. So they find what's current and popular, and market a product from it to sell to make that money. That's how it works. Always. We, hopefully, get something we enjoy in exchange for that money. Levi make jeans because people enjoy denim products and that in turn makes them money. I do not see your point...? They're not going to make something they think isn't popular and marketable....

It doesn't matter if it's childish or not; Facebook is a part of our public lexicon. It's such a force to be reckon with and a part of so many people's lives, for better or for worse. So it makes sense to make a movie like this.

Somewhere, MySpace Tom is like, "F***".

dude that is the stupidest excuse to be against a movie. really. the story is based on real people, why change it? if people have different reasons for watching a film then so be it. You say that it would have good acting and directing involved, good, but why can those people also not reap the benefits? I'm tired of noble failures, can we not have a good film that makes money? also in the end is there really anyother reason why a film gets financed ever?

studios are companies, they make money. thats the point, if in the course of making money they allow directors and actors to tell stories then its a win win. wtf.

so I was in the student center at SLU and found a stack of tickets to a showing of this movie, unfortunately the show was last night. fail.

This movie looks stupid and lame....period....I'm certainly not wasting money on seeing this snoozefest in the theater.

FaceBook is a "fad" and it will die a slow death until the next "fad" kicks in.

FB has already started to become old news anyways.

i think its still popular.

where else can a guy or girl writte to the whole world that they are reading a newspaper?
